All the above. I have several claims that I wish to put forth and substantiate. Otherwise, FFA as far as I'm concerned.

Also this is when I don't have my kid hanging off my neck, so that helps!!!

My current claims are as follows:

1) masks reduce, but do not entirely, eliminate the spread of respiratory viruses, including, but not limited to, CoVID-19.

2) Vaccination reduces the frequency and severity of CoVID illnesses.

3) critical public health messaging was perverted by both past and current administration to serve the stock market. This claim is more subjective, so I am willing to field much speculation on the matter.

1) and 2) I will follow up with using references such as medical reviews, and commentary from trusted hospitals such as Johns Hopkins. I can field other questions in the meantime. I'm trying to keep each post short and sweet

You may as well skip the "commentary from trusted hospitals such as Johns Hopkins." That rarely, if ever, comes out as anything but "safe and effective" as a statement with no studies to back it up. Or studies cited but the numbers in the studies support the opposite conclusion.

Of course, if there is "commentary" that is backed up, that is a different thing.

The usefulness of the vaccines were completely misrepresented at ALL levels of government, media and "experts". Now the speculation is that they reduce the severity of the infection. How is it possible to know who's body will overreact to the virus.

Why were the recommendations on how to fight the pandemic ignored and procedures introduced that were the complete opposite.

My short answer is that Washington is too chickenshit to enact proper cordon sanitaire. What the CDC agency heads were telling the media did NOT line up at all with what we were doing to protect our own. The labs had rigid shifts with specific cohorts swapping out every other day so we wouldn't expose each other. HR literally paid us 10 hours every week to stay the hell away from work and each other so we could look after our kids and elderly.

As for vaccine efficacy:

2a) the claim that "most cases of CoVID are in vaccinated people" is technically correct. However, this observation ignores epidemiology! As of early 2022, nearly 80% of the adults in the USA have had their two-shot primary series. Yes most new cases of CoVID may occur in the now-vaccinated population. "Isn't this proof that the vaccines don't work?" you may ask. No. The people who get sick, in spite of being fully vaccinated, represent a vastly smaller percentage than those who got sick while unvaccinated.

But if it was taken more seriously from the beginning maybe would have been a much shorter disruption instead of now 3 years with no end in sight. All the civil unrest, people so angry and violent, shortages of common but necessary things. It just seems to go on and on.

I remember those first weeks. I was moved to the ICU working 7-12's. But are you saying the country should have locked down even tighter, like China or Australia? Again, this was the opposite of the recommended procedures.

Why do they believe the possible, marginal benefits of the vaccine is better than the blood embolisms, pneumonia, cardiomyopathy people are experiencing?
