Tons of them. We have family friends that are all nurses and they don’t even give them N95 masks. Just the regular kind that don’t do anything. And I’ve heard other stories from all over the country where nurses have had to use garbage bags to protect themselves because they were out of gear. Idk about the running out of space part but there definitely IS a shortage on PPE.

Sounds like somebody didn't plan too well.

One of our BYC posters here has all the symptoms of COVID-19 and has been to the hospital but can't get tested because they have no tests there. She posted several pages back. She is on the west coast. I'm sorry, I don't remember who it is. I have seen on the news where doctors and nurses in NYC are getting sick because they don't have masks and PPE. They are being asked to REUSE such things! They are having to triage patients because they don't have sufficient equipment for everyone who comes in needing it. The nurses being interviewed are saying these things. I'm sorry I can't say exactly which hospitals they represent.

OK, well if you come across some stories, I'd like to see them. I like to make a distinction between fearmongering hysteria (of which there is an abundance right now) and facts on the ground. It's good for my mental health.

There are certain things that I don't like to substitute like my vegan stuff that I don't want to get something with dairy in it so I make sure those are never substituted, but with meat, cheese, snacks, and anything else usually I substitute it and we always get something better.

One time I got the small package of sliced cheese and they gave me one that was so big I swear it lasted a month 😂 and that was us feeding some to the dogs 😂 It was ridiculous

One time I got a smaller mouthwash and they gave me a huge one and I just finished it and it lasted 3 months 😂 they always give you something bigger and better
Chickens will eat cheese too. Just saying.

Yeah stay away from the cities... That's where it's hitting hardest.

I'm glad I'm a country girl and I can hold out in my house for months without getting bored. Every weekend I used to do something like go walk in a store just to get out... Now I have to find new things to do because stores are not a place for anyone right now.

I'm hoping that they are testing more and it's not just another myth that they're using to quiet us down, but I'm hopeful. And I’m able to continue my weekly exercise regime through videos. And I have lots of chocolate!

I doubt anyone has much to be thankful for right now but I have several things I'm thankful for. I try to look at the positive not the negative.
I feel as though I have a lot to be thankful for. I’m an avid gardener and have been for years. I have always got my seeds early out of excitement to plant in the Spring. I have my chickens and am well stocked with food. I’m fortunate to have a property large enough to sit outside and get fresh air.

I think if you really need something, get it now. The situation is only going to get worse as more people become infected. I went out yesterday, and people seemed to be acting like it's business as usual. Groups of people standing around talking to each other. A line of people waiting for prescriptions, about a foot or 2 away from each other. Only 2 people besides me had masks on. I think that's crazy risky. Even a cotton scarf would be better than nothing. I actually felt offended when people got too close to me. I had the staff put my receipts in the bag. I don't want to touch anything I don't have to. And I paid with my credit card, so I didn't have to handle money.
