My father ate some weird stuff - some of which I liked, but I could never handle the Limburger cheese and onion on rye sandwiches. He only ate them when he had a bad cold and couldn't smell the cheese.

Didn't mean myself to downplay what you said should've clarified what I was saying/meant, didn't. I apologize.
I just meant it was hundreds of thousands of American kids that died fighting in the US military WWII. They were kids some snuck in younger than 18. This feels like a war but we are not losing hundreds of thousands of our kids.

This makes a lot more sense and you are absolutely right!! I don’t really agree with the people calling it a “war”, seems a bit insensitive to everyone who’s died in actual wars, but I do think it is a major problem and has to be stopped. Wildfire might be a more accurate comparison since it seems to be spreading like one with no signs of stopping anytime soon.

A couple miles away from me .... Wife thought she had CV 19, waiting on test results... Husband killed her and himself... turns out she didn't have it

I read this man in a grocery store in Mass. coughed and spit on some vegetables and was tackled by some shoppers and held down until the police came.

Yes, that was near me. Posted some articles about it yesterday but I’m sure it got lost with how fast this thread is moving. I guess he tried to assault an employee too which is why they tackled him.

Sooooooo......Who wants to be the one walking through someone elses sneeze?

I don’t think that’s true. The reporters are just reporting what scientists have said. They don’t just make this stuff up out of their butts haha and it’s been established and being said for a while now about the air thing. That’s why it’s important to stay home or wear masks if you do go out and wash your hands etc.

This is a short term crisis but if it mutates, which viruses frequently do, it can get even worse.
Today, we have much better science, health care, internet/information and media than they did in the past centuries.
Without those things, the plague of Justinian killed 1/4 of the globe's population in 541/542 AD. The Bubonic plague killed over half of the globe's population in 1350.
Smallpox killed over 10% of the earth's population in 1520, including 90% of native Americans. Entire tribes were wiped out.
Spanish Flu of 1918 killed 50 million. Aids has killed 35 million.
Without all our information (including good journalism) we would be seeing numbers like that.
One's chosen news source which denies the science is putting the unenlightened at risk.
I'm appalled at the pastors/ministers who continue to plan on packing their churches.
