I'm way behind and not able to read all posts to catch up.
Did I miss anything good?

All races and ages are wearing masks her...no problems for anyone.

I get the impression that some of you don't live amount as many races as I do. We don't seerace/color here like some of y'all's areas do.
Not really lol there was some humor/joking earlier today but that’s about it :lau

Or at least that’s all I remember. :lau

I think it's quite irrelevant and unnecessary to bring up race. But I guess it is

I started using DuoLingo again like a month or month or two ago but then I stopped using it  only used it like a few weeks then lost interest/forgot as usual. I wanna start back up with it again though cause I really do want to learn haha

I did Spanish in school and I sucked at it 😂😂

Doing German on the app.

I actually wanted to learn it in case I ever met my German friend, which was super close to happening, but then Coronavirus effed it up so that’s partly why I stopped too, since I didn’t really have a reason anymore.

Some brains are better at languages than others. I mean we're all really receptive to it up to 2 or 3. Then it gets more selective. Unless you're exposed to other languages.

I went to school with a kid who was the class clown. He made my Spanish teacher crazy and she would always try to stump him and embarrass him and try to get him to apply himself but she never could because he was just a whiz at language.

And I have another friend who was an Army brat and grew up all over Europe. She can translate anything you throw at her and speak passably in languages she's just being exposed to.

I really admire being multilingual because language shapes the way we think and having more languages makes you, necessarily, more adaptable and fluid in your thinking.

Don’t worry, we’re coming for you!! Did you happen to see where they took you or did they put the mask over your eyes too!?

Wait.... how do you know she’s in a living room!? Did you see where they took her!? Are you in on it!? We have to go save her!!

Just watch out, they will have hot large wet towels and big fluffy pillows as weapons! Best be prepared! 🤣🤣🤷‍♀️
Oh no!!! Better put someone else on the case!!! Doesn’t @21hens-incharge have bloodhounds?? Or someone does. I haven’t heard from @2 many chickens in a while so I hope they have not already hurt her. ;) :fl
I'm okay, they let me outside for a lil bit! 😂🙃

It's a gorgeous day, had to get out of the house for a bit even if it's just my backyard. Relaxing while the little ones metal detect. My youngest found a 1958 wheat penny in the pasture, so he thinks he's hit the jackpot.😋😎

Don't you love not being bound in by things like that?!

My kids went to the UCLA laboratory school. The school balances itself to the demographic of CA on a wide number of criteria -- race, parent's education, family dynamics, etc. My kids were exposed to that rich diversity in a very positive environment and I think it's one of the best things I ever gave them.

Way to go!

I've been doing more in the garden than I've done in years of knee surgeries and wrist surgery. I'm thrilled with the amount of neglect I've been able to work my way through.

Yeah, I don’t think I’m the worst ever at it but I also don’t think I’ll ever be fluent in them either, which I’m okay with. I mostly just want to do it for fun.

I must say I am slightly jealous of people who are fluent in multiple other languages though.

We had some family friends from Sweden but they traveled a lot and I think the kids knew like 4 or 5 languages. :th

And that’s very true!! Supposed to be good for memory and your brain in general too. Music is good for that too. They say learning an instrument or a language can help with Alzheimer’s.
