All races and ages are wearing masks here...no problems for anyone.

I get the impression that some of you don't live among as many races as I do. We don't see race/color
Not a lot of diversity here but there is some of every race/color/ethnicity/religion. We're pretty red neck here and I ain't ever heard any problems with any of that much less something simple as wearing a mask like everyone else.
Some people must just live in horrible areas, I don't think I'd want to live in a city if it's like that. We are all human beings here.

Tilly says staying inside is exhausting!

Im brand new here and pretty sure I can’t offer anything new or enlightening. I’m in Canada, northern Ontario. Things aren’t as crazy here as other places but I still can’t find TP in my little town. Shelves are empty of canned goods and soups. The majority of people though have been observing social distancing, it probably helps that I’m in a farming community. I moved here 4 months ago, and worked for myself as a house cleaner. With schools closed I now can’t work and am home educating my 4 year old. I have no friends, and can’t see my parents. My husband is still working (mining industry), and has friends on our street that he goes to see. My resentment about this is high. I have no one. I miss my old home and my old work with a dozen employees who were all like family. My brightest spot are my little almost two week old chickies. They’re honestly my favourite parts of the day!
Never can go wrong with chickens!

I get the feeling ya'll don't see it because you literally don't see it. Like you don't see it so it must not be happening? If only that were how it actually worked I'm sure everyone'd be really happy.
But you don't know what you don't know. (Kind of goes for everyone and everything.) So personally I believe minorities when they tell me they have problems. (Especially since it's pretty well documented.)

So sorry for what you're going through, NorthernChickenChick. I'm a hermit by nature but if you're not isolation sucks!

Can you stay in touch with family and old distant friends by phone? And you're welcome to visit with us here. We'll talk chicks and resentment and accommodating to new things and whatever you like while we all face this together.

I've lived in BC but don't really know eastern Canada. I remain certifiably crazy about BC though.

I think you will find BYC is a very supportive very diverse group of great people.
Even when there are differences of opinion things are pretty civil.
