Our stores went nuts back on March 3 or 5th.
The food is almost back normal.
The cleaners and paper products....zero.
They put out a few toilet papers first thing in the morning but I swear to you I haven't seen bleach or Lysol in forever.

I think it definitely is too which is why I was curious about it.

That’s interesting that they’ve gone up. Wonder if it’s like that everyone or just certain areas?

It’s also intriguing to me considering guns won’t exactly do much against a virus but I think in every disaster type situation people tend to prepare.
Not against a virus no. Against the masses that want to steal your stash? Maybe. People are scared and think the rule of law could go by the wayside. With the rate of infection I understand it. What happens when the police get sick?

I'm sorry, I'm not trying to create fear in any way. If you read any historical info or studies on what has and likely would happen, it's a frightening thought. Who ever thought in this day and age tgat a measly virus would create this much havoc all over the world?

Yes, most drugs do have associated risk, but most people aren't down with Civid-19 first. And unfortunately I have to pay attention to those "rare" side effects because I'm usually one of those fun one percenters.

I had heard from a doctor the potential harm this drug could cause and the potential heart damage. His main message was to say the decision to take it should not be undertaken lightly when you are already compromised.

Yes, or they were here. A while back I saw reports of gun and ammo stores having lines that rivaled those waiting to get into food stores. I'm also betting hardcore preppers are saying- "See, I told you it was coming!!"

That can’t be fun getting the bad side effects :( :hugs

I’m lucky like that in that I don’t usually get any (though I also don’t really take any medicines) but I do have asthma and stupid sensitive skin haha

And oh wow that’s crazy!!! People wait in line for those things!?

I wouldn’t even wait for food :lau  I’d come back!!

And yeah I’m sure!!! That’s kind of what I was thinking. Betting preppers and stuff are stocking up just in case.

I couldn’t even if I wanted to because we have pretty tight restrictions here and you need a license but in order to get one, you have to take a gun safety course. Well guess what aren’t running right now!?

Or high proof rubbing alcohol.
Can't find vitamin C anywhere either.
Not that I'm looking very often, or going to many stores.

Some brains are better at languages than others. I mean we're all really receptive to it up to 2 or 3. Then it gets more selective. Unless you're exposed to other languages.

I went to school with a kid who was the class clown. He made my Spanish teacher crazy and she would always try to stump him and embarrass him and try to get him to apply himself but she never could because he was just a whiz at language.

And I have another friend who was an Army brat and grew up all over Europe. She can translate anything you throw at her and speak passably in languages she's just being exposed to.

I really admire being multilingual because language shapes the way we think and having more languages makes you, necessarily, more adaptable and fluid in your thinking.

Like your friend I was a military brat and the best part were the 6 years I spent overseas and went to school with the American kids on base. No one ever brought up color or race. It was like it didn't exist. Really a great way to grow up.

Oh wow that’s insane!! I’m not even sure what ours are like cause I haven’t been in forever but I’m pretty sure we’re still out of cleaning products and paper towels and stuff but food is pretty normal. My brother came over last week and said he couldn’t find any paper towels anywhere. He brought some over.

Nahhh it’s okay, you’re not scaring me haha I think you’re right and that’s kind of what I was thinking too. People are probably preparing for just in case. Especially cause there’s already been cases of stolen chickens, etc. and people feel they have to protect their families. I don’t think that would be an issue here as all our neighbors are pretty chill but you never know.

That said, I couldn’t get any here even if I wanted to cause I don’t have a license.
