I’m not sure if it’s true but I heard you can’t fish or boat or go to the beach here and also that some national parks and such throughout the country are closed which makes no sense to me because the ultimate social distancing is alone on a boat in the middle of the bay or on some hiking trail. 😂

They probably just don’t want to pay people to operate the parks. Idk.

No but I can start working on it 😂😂😂 with this virus I could eat lots of chips and gain 200 lbs.

I'm actually losing weight because of this virus. I'm finding it very hard to find my vegan junk food 😭 So I've been eating extremely healthy besides the vegan nachos that I just made 🤦🏼‍♀️
Do you eat vegan for health or moral reasons?

I don't think it's remotely amazing compared to most of the country. But, for a major metropolitan area I really do feel fortunate because I can get outside and still feel safe and "isolated".

I can't imagine how it is for apartment dwellers!!!
I think that’s definitely amazing for LA!! And yeah, I would hate to live in an apartment or the city haha although I might as well considering I barely go outside :lau

Re those "dirt bag" planters

I have a number of them but they didn't work for me in our hot dry climate. For a while I tried hand watering. Sometimes multiple times a day but I gave up and put them away.

There's a nursery here, tho, that's had a blueberry bush growing in one since 2012. The bag is huge and blueberry even bigger. Maybe 4' in diameter and 3' from the dirt level up. It's cool because certain times you can go and pick a few blueberries;

It was the inspiration for me putting in a small hedge of blueberries on a berm in my backyard. I'm still waiting for mine to achieve that size but I've got a generous crop of greenies out there now.
I've learned with those bags that you have to make sure that they only get sunlight half of the day and then they have a certain period of time to cool down.

Oh wow that’s amazing!!! we planted blueberries last year but not sure if they’re still alive. I planted grapes too but I’m pretty sure they died. :(

I imagine those little bags would dry out quickly in a dry climate but may be good here.

That's not necessarily the case. I think you're assuming they don't care. It goes back to getting some exercise and not having close contact with other people. There are no yoga classes, no pool aerobics, etc that are putting people in danger.

Since it seems I can't say a thing without lighting a fire I'll see you all around.
Please stay.
Sometimes I think those who may not want to hear a differing opinion are the ones who need to hear it the most. ;)

I might have to try that if I get them or just use buckets.

We have a lot of ceramic pots too but most of them are pretty small and also I hate them because they absorb the water and dry stuff out sooooo fast and the plants never seem to do as well as they do in my plastic ones. But I might have to use them anyway because I am trying to use what I have instead of buying more lately.

I eat vegan more for health because I feel it is very important to only put healthy things into my body because that is what fuels my body.

I also have a lot of sensitivities and allergies to certain foods, it's easiest for me to eat vegan because it eliminates everything that bothers me.

It's very easy for me to eat vegan because I can grow my own food. My family eats a lot of vegetables now too.

I butcher my own chickens for my family. I incubate chicken eggs and I raise them all the way until the day I butcher them. I feel like growing your own food is honestly probably the best thing that you can do for yourself because you don't have to rely on anyone else to supply you.
