Now you’re talking!!! I love French toast. :love :drool

Good point!! I should really eat better.

I think it would probably give me more energy too??

My issue with sleep is mostly self induced through staying up too late watching tv or on the phone.

But sometimes I really can’t sleep. Usually on days I have to be up early the next day. :lau

That sounds delicious!! I need to learn some simple stuff. Part of the reason I don’t like cooking much is it takes me forever to do anything. Even cutting veggies or something simple. So simple recipes end up taking me forever

Cole slaw takes less than 10 minutes to make including chopping cabbage and carrots. This is the recipe I use. Don't use fake mayo it's 🤮

Peanut butter cookies for real!!
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 large egg
I use cheap peanut butter and end up needing 1/4 cup of flour to make it work.
roll into 1.5" balls and make the criss cross with a fork. Bake at 350° for 8 minutes. Easy peasy. Oh and cool for a few minutes on the pan as they are soft straight from the oven.

What time is dinner? I’ll bring my own plate and utensils.

Dinner at 5:30. If you get here early there are cookies.

Stop by my house. We have soup on the stovetop and a 12" chocolate chip cookie in the oven.

it's getting rough for my grandson. He melted down in online school today. Had to do something to cheer him up. I think later we'll take a drive over the hills to the ocean. It's a rainy gray day but, still, he's been inside for at least 2 weeks now. Maybe 3. When his parents come to "visit" him everyone has to mask up. I think he needs to see that there's still a big world out there and it will still be around when this is done.
That sounds delicious!!!! On my way!!!

And awww poor kid!!! The ocean sounds fun.

And thanks for the coleslaw recipe!!! Btw, I would never dream of fake mayo!! 🤢 Miracle Whip is 🤮

I'd say it's plateauing right now, at least for WA and supposedly with CA (not sure how OR is doing). As of Apr 7th WA is at 9097, 421 deaths. Over half the deaths (221) are in nursing homes, care facilities, other similar type facilities, so those are really the hotspots in WA.

OR has consistently had a VERY low deaths/M number. One of the lowest in the country.

Ugh I feel ya. I have some roots that grew into my compost last year, didn't think it would be an issue so I put the compost in one of my raised beds (16" tall), and now those roots have started spreading in the bed, so I need to dig through the bed and re-clear all those roots so I can use that bed.

I put a lot of ugly stuff in my compost and trust the process but those nasty stolen of Bermuda grass and ANYthing nutsedge go in the garbage.

In fact, one reason I can't trust the free mulch I could get from the city is that I don't trust that everyone else puts that stuff in the trash cans instead of the green cans.

Hi DD, how are you doing today? Are you feeling any better?

I like those too. Especially if it's going into something.
Me too get ya some good bacon grease and extra black pepper for some country (pepper) gravy.
I also use it to brown with venison
Works great for a roux too

It's to the point to where the end packs have better bacon slices than the expensive bacon packs

FWIW KDOGG, I'm not big on bacon either.

Cooking with it is fine but it mostly tastes like salted burnt fat to me otherwise. I'll eat some if I'm craving something salty and it's there but if I'm given options like at a restaurant I'll pick something else.

We don't use pork at all, and practically no sugar. So all y'all can have our share. 😉
