I see......
For real prediabetic should be something with follow up checks and diet modifications....

Sleep well and stay safe.
I didn’t do any of that.

Every time I get a physical though he does always check my blood and I think I actually did have another blood test after the initial test and it was still somewhat high. So it’s actually been more recently. Just forgot. But I don’t think I got my physical last year.

And they did suggest diet modifications at the time but I didn’t listen.

Playing 'footsie' with diabetes is a bad idea! I did the denial thing too, about asthma, and it just makes things worse over time. :old Just sayin'

1,000,000% agree.

Took my meds, ate dinner, tested and was doing ok. Well toward the top end that my doctor wants me at. Carried in my plants from the greenhouse, sat on my butt, stood up to go to bed and felt off. Tested and holy crap I bottomed out! Now I am in the emergency sugars and retest in 15 minutes mode.

Diabetes sux bad!

I do see and it makes me sad. Diabetes has so many complications. If I had known earlier you bet I would have done my dangdest to fix it.
Latest development for me was being told it is not if but WHEN I will lose the rest of my vision. Yeah pretty freaking major.

I will forever give her a hard time until she takes it serious or it's just too late.

Drives me nuts that she is so young and still has time to help herself yet she thinks it's a joke and doesn't do anything.

Yeah, probably a bad idea. for me though it’s not really so much denial I don’t think as just not acting

Oh wow that sounds awful! :hugs

I sometimes get pretty lightheaded when standing too fast sometimes for a while but that was even before I got tested so  I’ve read dehydration can sometimes do it too and I’m constantly dehydrated.

I don’t think it’s a joke at all. I’m actually terrified of it cause I’ve read all the complications. I’ve just always been bad at change and procrastination and stuff.

I know it’s not an excuse or anything but trust me, I don’t think it’s a joke.

I do need to work harder though. I think moving would probably be the biggest one because I’ve been doing the whole vegetable thing lately.

But I still constantly have my mind screaming at me “Sugar! Sugar! Sugar! EAT SUGAR NOW!” And find myself caving to it but I guess I just need to learn to ignore it? It’s the only way I guess.
