It's my understanding, @KDOGG331 , that it takes about 4 hours for a meal to digest. If you throw more food into your stomach before that is done, then the first meal never does completely digest. So your body tissues, your cells, never do get the nutrients they need. That's why you keep feeling hungry and craving sugars and carbs. For me, it took real self-discipline to resist the urge to eat between meals for the first three days. Like Kiki quitting smoking. I decided to wait 5 hours between meals. It was brutal, but worth it. I drank water instead. But now I'm not hungry for snacks and need way less food at meals.
This is very interesting and helpful. Thank you! I have never heard this before but it makes sense. I have heard before though that you are only supposed to eat when you are hungry. Maybe similar. I definitely don’t do that and just eat whenever and whatever I feel like at that time. Sugar also digests a lot faster too so I am sure that is also part of why I am always hungry because I do notice that when I eat a lot of protein or something filling that I am wayyyyyy less hungry and stay full for longer than when I eat a lot of sugar and/or carbs. Empty calories I guess.

That is a good analogy.
The drawback....one can stop having cigarettes around....one cannot quit food.
The key is making better more informed choices.
Yes, this is a problem too. :/ I’ve quit other things before and it’s easy to just not have them around but if I didn’t have food around I’d be dead 😂

My issue is the making choices part. I am informed as I read/watch a lot of stuff but yet still make poor choices most of the time.

But I also just have poor willpower/self control in general and an addictive personality. :hmm

Maybe try sticking to the serving size listed on the packages first.

YES it really says 3 oreos is a serving. Why even bother getting a glass of milk out!
:barnie

They keep changing the labels and options. There's like 50 different kinds of spaghetti sauce! And I want one with no pork in it. I check the labels for sugars, too. I had one I liked and now they don't seem to carry it, so.... back to reading labels. And that's just one product. Sorry!
I use the hunts no salt sauce and I add my own herbs and seasoning too it. Throw it in the crock pot for 4 hours on high... So good!
