Thanks! It was hard to say the least. He was an amazing boy for a spotted thing. One & only spotted horse I will ever own.

My workout room is awesome! I love it!

This is my boy I lost. His barn name was Flash. His registered name was Courageous Black Knight.View attachment 2088142

I'm so sorry about your loss, he was stunning!
I missed the story on what happened to him.
Thank you. I unexpectedly lost him on 10 July 2019. He was fine when I put him up for the night. Something turned his gut sour during the night. We did everything we could to save him except surgery. I won't put a horse through it, they are never the same. 24 hours of oiling, medicating and no change. I had to make the heart-wrenching decision to let him go at 23. The vet thinks he had a blockage. Never expect to lose him that young. Figured my mare would go first she has serious lameness issues.

I've been a die-hard GSD fan my whole life....until I got my first Malinois by accident. LOL
Yes, 4 of them do keep me pretty busy. Only one of them is true to trait, for Mal's, the other three are pretty soft, easier to handle. The 3 softer ones are still more work than most pet breeds, but first time Mal owners could handle them.
In the pic of the three, left to right: Beck (3 years old former stray), Zephan (7 years old former stray), Neci (just turned 4 years old)
The one on the cart by himself is my newest addition, Ravi, another former stray. He's nearly perfect. If we can get a PSA club started here, I'd like to get him going on that.
All three boys are adopted. I got my female as a puppy 4 years ago to do FR but she's too soft, and won't engage with anyone but me.
Collectively, they've done herding, IPO, FR, barn hunt, and agility.
They are so gorgeous. :love I’m guessing Zephan was the first one and the “accidental GSD”? :lau did they label him a GSD mix? :D 😂

That’s unfortunate the girl’s too soft. :( is she from a working breeder?

I also can’t believe you have so many stray Malinois up there! :th how could people get rid of such gorgeous dogs!? I would love it if I stumbled upon a stray Malinois. :th

Not very common here. Rescues are full of pit mixes and lab mixes. I love Labs but so many of these rescue dogs are practically identical. :lau

I’d love a Mal or other shepherd or herding dog but I feel like a Mal would be a bit too much work for me. At least right now. But then again I literally LOVE training and working with dogs so maybe not. :lau

But they’re like always on, right? And not always a fan of other dogs from what I’ve heard? MYbe it depends though. Your softer ones would probably be okay? But no guarantee I’d get a softer one.

I’ve always wanted to do agility!! Would love to do nose work too.

FR is French Ring, PSA is Protection Sport Association. They're both protection/bitework sports.
Sorry about that. I'm used to using the abbreviations.
I love watching good bite work. :love still don’t really know the difference between most though. There’s so many. :lau like schutzhund & IPO, mondioring, and personal protection too and probably others and they all look so similar to me :lau

Sorry for your loss. :hugs I've lost a couple to colic too.
