My Appy would do the same thing. He had free range of the yard whenever anyone was home, and if we left a drink untended, it was fair game for Billy. We were regulars at our local Hardee's, too. It was the first one in our area with a drive-thru and we figured out just how to stand two horses on the plate to trip the speakers. It's funny how many french fries go accidentally "dropped" when we showed up. There was always an extra bag for the horses. I'll never forget the first time Billy figured out how a straw worked. He was just playing with it and somehow ended up with a taste of soda. The look of surprise on his face was priceless ... as was the concentration while he tried to figure out how to make it happen again. It didn't take him long, then no cups were safe. Holy cow, I miss that horse. he had more personality than most of the people I've met and ten times the loyalty and companionship!

Ohmygosh, your Billy sounds a lot cooler than my Billy was.

My Billy would eat spaghetti but that was the only good thing about him. He was the spawn of satan in pony form who hated 8 year old kids and did his best to inflict as much damage as possible to them whenever they were around. It's a wonder I can still walk.

Me too.
Found. On. Road. Dead.
Fastest. On. Race. Day.
Just recently saw a old Ford dump truck they switched the D and F, DORF 😆
I've had and loved them all.
First car was a '80 Camaro t-top.
Wasn't a Z-28, but still had a 350 and four barrel. Prob my favourites were the '80s Subarus had several '83 wagon was my first that thing was UGLY, '84 Subaru Brat was my favorite. They all were standards with front and real high-low range four wheel drive not the AWD like today's. Beat the carp out of them on four wheeler trails.

So just heard from my friend in NYC, her cousin tested positive. He doesn't currently need hospitalization (fevers and aches but no shortness of breath) and neither does his wife (who didn't get tested, but was told to treat herself as a positive case as she shows same symptoms). The cousin and his son both work in a nursing home, so son has been asked to quarantine himself as well.

I had a plantation walker I rescued in 1998. He was 5 and they were going to put him down because his back and hind end was weak. I took him home, put him out in a pasture on a slight incline for a year. He strengthened right up. After about a year I began working him. Man was he a fun horse. His old owner wanted him back when she heard how I had him going. Yeah not happening! Turns out this big goofball was 15 hands by the time he was a yearling so their 300lb (no joke) decided to break him to saddle. Gee, I wonder why his back was weak!!!! :he I lost him in 2012 to cancer.
Everyone always says how much work it is having horses at home. To me, it's just another day. I grew up cleaning stalls, paddocks & pastures. We had a 44 stall barn, my day began and ended with cleaning stalls. You'd think at this point I'd hire someone to clean, but I'm too particular about how it's done.
My parents were trainers, I grew up showing. I LOVE showing. I started western equitation, turned to hunter & sidesaddle. When I was 13 I found Saddleseat and never looked back. I still ride and train all disciplines but I personally prefer the cutback saddle. I even trail ride in it.
I never stress once I hit the showgrounds. If I am taking a baby I always say 'I'm gonna die, but at least I will die in my happy place' Happy place being in the saddle of course! I haven't shown since 2016 because there are too many dumb asses that don't vaccinate their horses. There were a couple of years where strangles, rhino and a few other completely avoidable viruses ran rampant through show grounds. No way I am risking my horse's health for a damn ribbon.

Wow! Quite some story! I like your attitude with showing. True ribbons are not worth risking health. Your parents were trainers? How awesome! Sidesaddle??? I saw it once at a show years ago. Not since then.

I've done the rounds with saddles. I started with a dressage saddle in 1986. For various reasons I tried more different types. I went back to the dressage saddle. My idea of comfort!

In the USA - Hospital treatment of a 'covid-19 patient' - no proof ever necessary - gets the hospital an average US government payment of $13,297 ... if put on a ventilator, that triples to an average $40,218

So just 100 totally fake 'covid patients' and the hospital gets over a million dollars in fast US gov cash

"Hospital reimbursement for uninsured Covid-19 hospitalisations will range to nearly $42 billion"

This is corruption opportunity deluxe ... USA alleged covid infections and deaths 'worst in the world' ... because ruthless USA hospital companies are paid billions to say so, with no penalties for lying?

But trust the USA hospital numbers, tho, say world officials

It’s not required to vaccinate before showing!? It should be! If you don’t vaccinate at home fine but should be mandatory for shows when you’re going to be around all those other horses? Like how people have to vaccinate dogs before boarding them.
believe the only thing tjat'
Hey now come on he spent 20 years in the Marines, it is cheap. 🤣🤣🤣

I think Coors lite is the worst beer I ever tasted-to me taste like pee.

You tried other types of saddle! That’s great! Ive been looking and I love the look of a dressage saddle, it just screams comfort to me, but I don’t want to look like some poser lol, and I’m a little shy to ask at the store since I’m in no way a dressage rider.
Dh grew up with the western saddles so that’s what I bought at first but I personally don’t find them comfortable and they’re all too long for my horses, pinching at the shoulder and digging at the hip. I picked up two older ap English and I love them, and they fit much better too.
McClellans look comfy too, and those Aussie stock saddles, I’ve been creeping amazon and eBay for tack lmao
