Hilarious remark in that article. Vaccine immunity is inferior to natural immunity because it only lasts for maybe 10 years. Natural immunity is forever.

However mass immunity is typically achieved through vaccinations rather than via exposure and recovery. Experts have warned that allowing coronavirus to sweep through younger and healthier members of the public is a dangerous way of building resistance in the community.

featherhead, I hope you'll stick around and I'm sure when the craziness is over someone near you will get a new flock started for you.

Did I see you're in NoCal? Hope vND isn't making inroads there!!!

Re: the virus. I just keep thinking people will get tired of the extra energy it take to be panicky and non-virus life will return to normal. My mantra -- and I can be a pretty Type A person -- is to slow down, be kinder, lower my expectations. One potential crisis is enough for me. I'm following the guidelines to stay close to home except for necessary errands so I'm expecting to stay healthy but I'm simply not willing to add any negativity to what the virus has already inserted into our lives.

I have a friend who's stranded in Paris by the virus. She reports that they have just about the same restrictions we have here in Los Angeles except that they're mandated there rather than voluntary. She says she needs to get written permission to leave her apartment for any reason including doctor visits, grocery shopping, banking and walking her dog (dogs are important in French life!). But she says when she goes to a mom & pop store or the large hypermarches everything is fully stocked and people are calmly going about their business. And this despite the fact that that smaller country was hit first and has a higher victim count.

Here and there, it's all about attitude and leadership. I think if we had some leadership in this country -- short of the governors and mayors who are doing their best to step up to the plate in the void -- we'd be a hell of a lot less panicky and more focused on realistic goals and getting past this crisis.

Luckily, I picked up my corned beef brisket last week, so we've got most of our traditional meal ready. We're having biscuits instead of soda-bread and brussels sprouts instead of cabbage, but hey, it all works. My kids call them baby cabbages, anyway ... right before they feed them to the dogs! :smack
Baby cabbages 😂 dogs probably have smelly farts

Here in the Netherlands we have no problems in supply either. Only Saturday and sunday there were not enough hygenic products, tp and such. Most shops are open.

I do understand the grocery stores, pharmacy and shops with things you might need (like for chicken feed) are open. But even the hairdressers are open. 😤 This makes me feel uncomfortable. I am convinced a complete lock down is no solution, but this way maybe the virus still spreads too fast.
The restaurants and shops where you can smoke a joint are only open for take away.

Lots of people are talking walks, are running, cycle. The weather is great. Lots of sun ☀️ and about 13-15celcius.

The government here pronounced today that all the people and business who get into financial problems are being helped. Like if you have a job and are sacked partly or temporarily you get 90% of you’re reduced pay from the government.
