People actually did that!? then were probably surprised if they bucked or whatever cause it didn’t fit and hurt :th

It’s good they have so many now but also kinda bad for indecisive people like me. :lau

I always thought it was just English and western šŸ˜‚šŸ™ˆ

And how exciting!!!! Congrats!!! I just hatched my first batch in November and it is so much fun!!! :D

Thanks!! I’ll have to try that. I started doing just Western cause I didn’t think I wanted to post or didn’t really know much better or whatever but then after a while she suggested I try English so I agreed cause why not? And I actually really liked it! Sure, the posting was a lot of work especially since I’m out of shape (even more so now) but it was fun. :D

And also she said and I agree that it’s actually technically more comfortable on the trails than western cause at least you can post the bumps instead of just getting bounced around in the saddle šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

We should get the horse thread(s) going again!! Haha
Idk, I liked western better. Bareback was okay, but I had a bony butt back then, and it wasn’t especially comfortable.

Hi guys, good morning. sorry if I was cranky . This whole virus thing is annoying me with social distancing and all. Most of my Family hesitate coming over to visit. As for going out I'm use to staying home. How is everyone else holding out?

I went on an 8 hour trail ride in a McClellen saddle when I was 11. I mouthed off at the trainer so my punishment was the McClellen saddle torture. I couldn't walk normal for days. The other awful saddle is the late 1800 through turn of the century no padded seat 12" cantle. Pretty sure my tush has no nerves left from hours in one of those things!
 What could you have possible said to deserve that?

Don't answer!

It's official, I just spend a small fortune on materials to make these feathered kids a run. Hubby insisted on it being 24' wide using coop wall, x37' long x36 wide to the fence line, then come in 11' to meet the brooding house. it will be 8' tall and have a fully fenced roof. No eagles or hawks will get to my babies! :fl I also insisted on a run inside the run for the wee ones in the brooding house, so when they are ready they have a little yard to acclimate to the bigger kids.
Someone, please tell me I haven't completely lost my mind!!!:barnie:wee:confused:

What's your place look like? I got into trouble building something like that back at my city house before I moved out to the farm. I had to demolish the whole thing. Luckily it wasn't done yet.

Last night, I went to put in my Walmart order. I got a good time slot, and clicked, ā€œcheck out.ā€ Suddenly, things started disappearing from my cart as it said they were out of stock. I had to give up when half my cart was gone. I went back into the app after a few minutes, and started looking at the things that were supposedly out of stock. They were still in stock. No idea what was going on, but now I cannot get a slot anytime soon. I rationed out TP to last until this weekend. I don’t know how I’m going to last into next week.

My son said he mailed a couple boxes of face mask/respirators out to me. I do wear them when I am out of the house but, I just use the same one over and over. People practice social distancing in the stores so I don't think the mask is necessary. But....

He and his girlfriend live near ground zero in WA. I'm much more concerned about them. He was telling me after they have been out walking, the masks(?) are so full of gunk they can't breathe through them. Don't like the sound of that.

His girlfriend wanted to come out and sight see in Chicago but, planes are grounded so that won't be happening. I moved out of Chicago 50 years ago. Have no desire to ever go back.

Now the museums and the zoos are closed . Many areas in Chicago are more dangerous than any virus.

Odd question-
How long has anyone kept a frozen home raised chicken in the freezer? A very cold chest freezer that is, and it still be edible.

....asking for a friend.

I still have a few from 4 or 5 years ago. So far just a little dryer than preferred but no freezer burn. They are shrink wrapped and in a subzero freezer.

Ours don't last more than a year because they all get eaten. Im sure 2 years or so is fine. They do say 1 year for most frozen meat.
