A bit of levity. I was shopping at the Amish market today when I felt a major sneeze coming on. I rushed to the mens room and let loose a massive sneeze. The poor guy at the urinal peed on himself, looked at me in abject fear, and rushed out of the room without even zipping up. I leaned against the wall laughing hysterically. What a way to clear a room.

I wish you had gotten that on video. I heard a guy behind me in the aisle cough and I picked up my pace quite a bit - "Uh I guess I really don't need black-eyed peas after all!"

I guess you haven’t been watching the news. That is, the real news. And are you calling me ignorant? I’m not panicking about this. I have always kept a full pantry and am prepared pretty much always, because when you get to a ripe old age you learn that stuff happens. You seem more panicked about the economy collapsing then most of the posters on this thread. I would rather save my caring and compassion for those unfortunate ones who have been infected. And btw: I am not misinformed and I do have a bit of experience in the medical field.

No I said you're displaying ignorance by not knowing that one of the peculiar aspects to this virus is that children hardly get affected by it, and the vast majority of people most affected are elderly with health conditions. So far It has very much been a "discriminatory" virus. It's not that it has a thing for those people, but simply that their immune systems have a harder time fighting it off. That's why it's so important that we all beef up our immune systems before it hits.

1 T bleach to a qt spray bottle full of water. You have a cleaner. Regular old bar soap and water. The soap dislodges the germs from your hands and the RUBBING of your hands cleans them. Rinse well. Dry. Apply/use hand cream(it is a barrier). I keep baby wipes in a zip lock in my pocket. The grocery store shelves are empty like it’s an apocalypse. Hoarding is a problem..what’s with the toilet paper run? Ck on older friends and neighbors...wash your hands...wash your hands, wash your hands.

Please educate the children in your lives, both about the virus and about "pranking" their friends. I work in the public school system. On the last day before the shutdown, we had some insensitive middle school kids teasing about the virus, patting other students on the shoulder, then telling them that they had just visited their cousin, who has the virus. One young lady burst into tears because she couldn't go home after being "exposed." Her mother has major health issues and is on oxygen. She was convinced that going home was going to kill her mother. By the time that class was over, she was settled down ... and the pranksters were very, very solemn, but at least they had a better understanding of the "holiday" they were about to get.
My kids have been great with being very careful. My oldest has been helping his younger brother out and teaching him. My youngest started crying telling me he didn't want me to die... People just don't get it! This is real! It's really for a lot of people considering a lot of people in the US have pre existing conditions. We are not a country that's seen for their health.

I'm trying to just ignore some who think this is nothing because they either don't understand or they just don't care about other human beings.

I for one care about EVERY single human being on this Earth! I don't care who they are! I can disagree with someone's actions or lifestyle, but I still have compassion for everyone.

It's interesting how those fearing the economy, are so willing to sacrifice the older folks to the virus, yet it's the older folks that can teach how to get through a collapsed economy. Our economy has collapsed before, and not due to viruses, I might add. It happens. Surviving well, during those times, that's what makes those old folks worth their weight in gold.
