Well
@CapricornFarm you sure started a doozy of a thread!
I live very close to the Washington State epicenter, and you know I’m just not seeing or feeling a lot of fear at this time. Our schools are closed for 6 weeks, our libraries have been on reduced services and will close on the 18th. We have limited our shopping trips etc but when we went to the grocery store the other day the only thing different was the bottle of sanitizer at each checkstand. Oh and they had sanitized carts ready.
As far as the argument between lost lives or a crashed economy it’ll be plenty of both. This will likely be with us for a good while yet. I’m very sad we are having to deal with this but I think getting information from reputable sources is really important to keep from being fearful.
We have a local buy nothing Facebook group, members are starting to post when they’re going to the pharmacy or wherever and offering to pick up things for people unable or too frail to do it. It’s times like this when the best comes out in most of us. The rotten ones get entirely too much attention.
