You're a gemMy neighbors across the street are in their upper 70's. I am going to call them tomorrow afternoon after dialysis to see how they are doing and if they need eggs.
Well, for our family things have taken a sudden turn. My daughter and her partner have been exposed and each now has a mandatory week away from work. My daughter is prone to bronchitis which has turned to pneumonia more than a few times. Half an hour later, I learned that my niece and her 3 kids spent Wed-Fri with my brother and his wife. The youngest child, 4 yrs old, has started feeling bad and has a sudden fever as of this evening. From what I've read 5 days is about the time frame before symptoms appear. My brother and his wife are in 60s. Scared, no. A wee bit anxious, oh yeah.
You're a gemI was going to do that but the stores have no cartons

I lived in Canada for 20 years. It does happen, it's happening now. My in laws both need joint replacements. Many people wait years for procedures. Basically they were told to forget what they need done. There are not enough doctors or nurses, and hospitals are being closed on the east coast. My sister in law isn't even old, and she has been trying years to get treatment for her heart condition . She needs a defibrillator and a pacemaker. She doesn't have either. She has almost died several times. I could go on and on.

I am talking about Atlantic Canada. My MIL in her late 80's had both hips replaced. She was active and vigorous till the day she died - in an auto accident. This is in America. My dad got all the health care he needed till the day he died, in his mid-90's. I've not known what you are describing to happen here. Nobody gets told they are too old to qualify for care here that I know of.
