I agree. My daughter can't get tested until/unless she has "more severe" symptoms. Fever and severely sore throat are the current symptoms. What more are Drs waiting for? Same case for an employee of my husband. Have tightness in chest and difficulty breathing. Dr sent him home unless it grows worse. That was yesterday. I have to wonder just how many virus cases there really are.
There are a LOT more cases than we know, but it's not because doctors and hospitals aren't testing. According to a family member who manages an outpatient office in a local hospital, that's how the coronavirus initially presents. In most people, that's as far as it goes and they recover. The tests are hard to come by, right now, so they try to use them on the extremely ill and to identify cases in areas where they haven't seen it, yet. Like the flu, there's not a whole lot doctors can do beyond treating symptoms and resting - and that's what the self-quarantine and shutdowns are supposed to do.
Personally, I'm okay with that! You couldn't pay me enough to get me to set foot in a hospital or urgent care facility, right now. I wouldn't even accept a house call ... who knows what the doctor's been exposed to? :oops:

Today we walked past a man in a kilt at the grocery store and D asked me in a bit of a haze; "Is today Ireland?". XD

And so we went to mc donalds and got shamrock shakes and some fries.

This is what our bread aisle looks like;

I had D snap me a picture.

Similar situations at some canned goods, cleaning products, tp, flour, and a few other places.

@CraftyHen please give you're daughter a lot to drink. This is the first thing she needs. Most people get better after a few days or maybe a week ,
But if she gets respiratory problems or pains from her lungs don't hesitate to call the hospital for emergency intake.
