I'll say this, about everyone in the US has forgot about swine flu, bird flue, Ebola, sars, mers, I really don't think we'll ever forget this one, the year the toilet paper disappeared....

You forgot the Zika virus 🦠 But I don’t know them all since I barely became an adult that cared about what was going on in the world two or three years ago.

Have now looked up lash egg and it looks like that is what it is. Will she survive this?
I read it is the same infection that causes bumblefoot and I have some antibiotics for that here. Now is obviously not a good time to be going out and about especially here in France with travel restrictions. Is there anything I can do for her that you can suggest. I seem to be plagued with bad luck with my girls as I seem to lose one each year and it is never for the same reason. I am feeling very despondent and feel I must be doing something wrong 😣😢😢
:hugs

@Nifty-Chicken Our local news carried a report that your governor has predicted a 60 % infection rate for your state. Are they providing any information to you folks in Ca.?
Ya, things are pretty crazy here. We're in day 3 of our 21 day "shelter in place". I don't know about the 60% number... if that's 60% all at once, or over the space of years. I'm kinda just expecting most people will get it at some point, but the key is really to "flatten the curve" so the hospitals don't get overrun. My GF's BFF is a nurse in an emergency room in San Diego and said they are already maxed out... and I doubt we're even close to the peak of concurrent infections / problems.

I literally had to stop myself from decorating the house this week. I am amused that others are of the same mind... or lack thereof. :lau

I'm going to start small with just the front porch. If it can brighten one person's day or make them smile, it will be well worth the effort.

My college student (Son) is out for the semester, My 14 yr old daughter (freshman) is out until April 6th, as of now. (Will probably be extended) One of my techs who is putting herself through nursing school was supposed to graduate in a month, her clinicals have been cancelled, she doesn't know when her classes will resume. I feel bad for these kids. They are looking toward the future and it's nothing but uncertainty at this point.....
