Yup, we're seeing an increase in visitors and people saying the virus is one of the reasons they are interested. Also, some reports that hatcheries are getting sold-out.
The farm store I go to told me over a week ago that they were sold out of chicks. Everyone is buying chickens. I ordered some chicks way back so I’m OK. However, I did buy an incubator as backup.

Some of you may remember that I posted on Thursday that our pick up had been stolen.
Today the sheriff's office called and they found our truck!!
It had been used in additional thefts, the guys are in jail, the truck has minor new damage and is a disgusting filthy mess.
Hubs is at the car wash now washing off all the spilled diesel fuel.

Pretty dadgum happy to have our truck back!

YAY!!! Glad you found it!!!! :woot

But sorry it’s a mess and damaged. :(

Was anything stolen from it!? I hope not. :fl

How did they find it? Assuming they had an APB or something out on the truck?

Nothing major still missing. Most of our stuff was in a garage and the bed of the truck had been filled with other stolen items.
They stripped the emblems off, messed up the front bumper and made a disgusting mess in the cab.

I am not 100% sure how they found it but the guys were squatting in an empty house and had a stolen box trailer hooked to our truck.

Glad you found most of the stuff!! That stinks they messed it up though. :( but at least you found it!! That’s most important.

And oh wow! These guys don’t sound like the smartest criminals. 🤦‍♀️

Then again.... I’m sure most criminals aren’t. :lau

But to just keep all the stolen stuff and leave it all out in the open and everything. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

That’s good news for you though!!!

Thanks. I've added that to my bookmarks. It confirms the data I'm working from but doesn't clarify why so few are recovered.
It often takes a long time to recover. 3 weeks is no exception.

Our health organisation came with a new fact. The number of days a corona patient who needs ICU, stays in ICU for many days.

Originally they estimated it would be 10 days on average. But now they know its much longer. Average 23 days.
This has huge impact on hospital care. Next 2 weeks there are not enough ICU beds, specialised medics, oxygen machines and medicines needed for anaesthesia and pain killing.

I don't think you're fear mongering.

Well thanks, but a day or so ago when I said there were Right Wingers who were starting to work at chipping away on Fauci's credibility someone dismissed that as coming from a Leftist rag. Today Red State has picked up the effort calling him a media whore.

The most reliable source of information we have when the administration wants to keep a happy face on this and they're pushing the line that he's a media whore...

Well my mother in law did a fantastic job of scaring us. While we were eating lunch hubby gets a message on his phone: "Hi I'm at urgent care and I need you to do something for me."

He calls her back, freaking out quietly (we're obviously both expecting to hear something about respiratory issue or fever): "Mom what's going on? What do you need?"

MIL: "Oh... turns out I have a bladder infection. Can you go to my house and let the dog out?"

*facepalm*

She called us again later to find out if we let the dog out yet or not. 😅
