Think of the mask like a hankie held in place then......

I would rather folks sneeze or cough into a mask than their shoulder or inner elbow over hands but feel like a mask is better yet....

Judging by the straps on those last masks and the workmanship, they are all surgical masks. The first bunch look handmade.

Came across the video and thought it was excellent for a lot of reasons. Thought it was a little suspicious they are telling people to wear scarves, tshirts, anything, but the fact remains those will not block much. I have a few dust masks (one is n95) for cutting wood indoors, I can barely breathe wearing those things, that's how tight the mesh/filter is.

I thought I was the only one that couldn’t breathe in those things!!

So good to hear. Hope the trend continues and those exhausted doctors and nurses and techs can get the respite they deserve and they've worked soooo hard for.

Hope this trend expands into the whole Metro area as well.

Do you mean that a company as rich as Walmart with the supply chain they have isn't equipping their workers?!?!?

Wish I could say I'm surprised but it's just one more of the horrible things I've heard about that company and that family.

One of the things my ex mother-in-law complained about, when they first returned from living in Japan (military), was that our culture had not adapted to better protecting those around them. Sick people there, would wear a mask, so their coughing, sneezing, etc., would not contaminate those around them. Young, and old alike would do this. It was a common sight, normal, and expected. It bothered her that people here would go in public, without any regard as to contaminating others.

Look, you can't get any face masks these days. Walmart can't help with that. I like shopping at Walmart, the people are very nice, Walmart is a great place. No one can get face masks, I'm just trying to help, and don't appreciate your comment.

That is super funny!! I don't mean to make fun of short people, being a guy under 6', I'm not the tallest person! But I thought the SAME THING when I saw that pic. I thought what a small, little, lady, how cute

It's like sucking air through plastic wrap! It also fogs up my sunglasses or safety glasses.

I believe what the virologists are saying too. 'Lab errors' happen, but viruses mutate and jump species frequently, and that's just much more likely here.
With modern travel, and human density in cities everywhere, managing pandemics needs to be early and aggressive, and not help up because of wishful thinking.
We've been lucky that a totally awful disease isn't what we are facing now! This one isn't nice, but could be way worse...

I agree and I don’t necessarily think it was man made but I DO think they are lying about stuff. Like for example, how is possible that they are the most populated country in the world yet still only have 82,000 cases? Or that the virus made it all the way to NYC, Spain, Italy, etc. yet hasn’t seemed to effect Shanghai or Beijing both of which are in pretty close proximity to Wuhan and also, coincidentally, very important cities for China? It doesn’t add up.

I still don’t think this means they made it in a lab but I do think they are lying about their numbers. And I have also heard that they still think that we infected them with it and are trying to blame us so maybe that is why they are lying?

I did find this article and apparently they investigated it and seem to think they are lying too.
