I'd go if the hospital is taking precautions. Wear a mask and make sure to bring hand sanitizer.

I went to a hospital last week and so far I'm okay. I'm not worried because they made sure I was in good hands.

Most hospitals don't have through traffic like visitors. It's usually just Drs and nurses. The ER is where Covid 19 people go usually. Then they go to icu.
That’s so weird to me that the hospitals are basically empty and the roads too. I wonder if the Boston ones are like that. They are usually very busy haha I still don’t think I’d feel safe going. Even if it was empty. It would just freak me out haha I’m glad you’re fine but I don’t think my anxiety would let me 😂 even if you paid me 😂

That said, I wonder if they are still accepting regular ER and ICU patients or if they are turning people away? I don’t think I’d feel very safe there but I guess if you need to go...

Hubs boss and his wife are over 70. They went to get groceries....no masks on them cause they don't understand how real it can be.....
They left without shopping because the folks wearing masks made her uneasy.....not because there is a potentially painful and deadly virus but because the masks....
🤨

I think I will deal with minor annoyance at a toasty mask rather than a giant bill from the ICU and the pain this virus can cause physically. Just sayin.

I gave hubs all my "one size fits all" gloves from my shop and he is using masks. Even if those around him choose to risk it.
It's interesting how people react. I'd rather wear the mask for some protection than go without.

People still have strokes and heart attacks and appendices and they break bones and get serious cuts and babies still need to be delivered.

I don't know how they're segregating this stuff but they've got to deal with traumas too.

A friend is pregnant just now and due in Sept. The timing is awful! I don't know how she's dealing with the anxiety.

I am not sure what language that is. Maybe a fellow BYCer will speak it and translate! :)

Judging by the straps on those last masks and the workmanship, they are all surgical masks. The first bunch look handmade.

Came across the video and thought it was excellent for a lot of reasons. Thought it was a little suspicious they are telling people to wear scarves, tshirts, anything, but the fact remains those will not block much. I have a few dust masks (one is n95) for cutting wood indoors, I can barely breathe wearing those things, that's how tight the mesh/filter is.
The guy on the video speaks Italian. He is mostly discussing the permeability (passing) of the face masks. But my italian aint good enough to understand wat else he says,

Very true!! Not to mention gunshots and car crashes and ODs and stuff. I hope they are properly segregated but probably hard to do in the ER.

And oh wow that would be stressful!!!

They aren't taking regular people unless it's a dire emergency...

Hospitals are safer than all stores. At least they clean constantly not just at night and in the morning.

Yeah that makes sense. Wonder what people with broken arms and stuff do? Or the people that go to the ER even though it’s not really necessarily an “emergency” haha

I assume they still take the major victims?

And yeah that makes sense!! But I’m not going to stores either. And hospitals in general make me nervous even before Corona. So many potential things you could catch haha plus the lights are headache inducing. I hate hospitals.
