Sounds like me when I go to Walmart after Christmas to hit their sales because they have those hygiene packs where it comes with deodorant soap and everything else. I like buying those and putting them under the sink for me to use.

I got a dove one that had soap a body scrub and deodorant for only $2 😁
Oh wow that sounds amazing!!!

I never buy such practical things as that!! :lau :th

Do you know how to quote, MissFrizzletheChick? It helps reference what you're agreeing to since there's frequently a time lapse between comments and threads of conversation.

You can choose the "+Quote" in the lower righthand corner to quote an entire comment or highlight a portion and a small "+Quote" toggle will come up in a small blue box directly under the highlighted portion.
Or you can just hit reply to what you want to agree to

I did buy a bunch of candy canes at Christmas time and I ate about five of them and got super sick so I threw them all out 😂 That's when I realized that I'm going to cut back on sugar and I haven't really eaten much sugar lately.

The only sugary type thing that I have in my day is a glass of crystal light. other than that I have been pretty much staying away from sugar and I stay away from salt too.

I will have to take a picture of my lettuce and post it. They were all wilty and awful looking when I bought them, but as soon as I put them in the miracle grow potting soil and inside those cloth bags, they really took off.

I actually bought I think 20 more and they are coming today so I can take a picture of them if anybody would like to see them. They aren't the exact same ones that I bought before because the ones that I bought before are no longer available, but the ones that I bought are pretty much the same thing.

I believe they are 5 gallon so they can fit a lot of stuff usually I'll put a lettuce and some other type of lettuce or bunching onions or whatnot.
Oh wow that’s amazing!!! I kind of want to try those but at the same time I feel like maybe I should just do buckets but idk. But we don’t have that many buckets and some of the ones we do have have big holes for food cut in them so I’d have to go buy some. Ordering online is probably safest. I really want to do lettuce again this year haha

We have tractor supply that is about 15 minutes from our house in Walmart is about 20 minutes from our house... We have two local restaurants that are about 5 minutes from our house.

We are pretty much out in the country and I really like it and I like that stores aren't very close.

We do have a gas station that's 5 minutes from our house.

I honestly go to Walmart only once a month and get a whole month worth of groceries so I'm not very concerned about the stores being so far away. We go to tractor supply once a month too to get all of our chicken stuff.
Yeah, our TSC is a bit further out. Probably 15 minutes. But still pretty close. We actually have two haha one is also 15 mins in the other direction.

We have two gas stations, two grocery stores, a CVS, Ocean State (think you know what this store is), Dollar Tree, McDonald’s, Dunkin Donuts, a pizza place, two or three banks, pool/fitness club place, all within just a few minutes of us. Plus various other little stores like a karate place and music store and stuff. And a garden center/nursery. They also have amazing ice cream haha and a few liquor stores and nail places.

And those are just the small/junky little plazas. The big outdoor shopping center and mall and everything is like 10 minutes away. That has Walmart, Petco, tons of other stores, restaurants, etc.

OMG lol I’d get sick after eating 5 of them too!! 😂

I was eating tons of birthday cake but we just ran out last night. 😭

I’ve been eating way too much salt lately. Gonna try to work on it.

I have a major sugar addiction though and sometimes find myself making toast with butter and tons of jelly on it before I even know it because I “need” sugar.

We only have 1/2 acre. The front yard occupies about 1/4 of that. The house and pool roughly another 1/4. What's left is the backyard. I don't know what that is. Too much math for me!

It's private with fences (my neighbor's) or hedges (ours) so I can get outside when I need to. In fact, I've never done so much gardening. I can even do it in my jammies. ..and I've never done so much of that either.

It's been a sanity saver!

Meanwhile, thanks to whoever for the thought about vacuum sealing seeds. I open packets and then sow some of them over a period of time so vacuum sealing in between will keep them dry and intact and safe.

Sounds amazing. :love

We have almost 3 acres but I rarely take advantage of it.

I’ve been a lot better lately though and been trying to get outside tons and stay out because previously there would be days where I wouldn’t been go outside.

Those are rare now though.

I like chicken watching and gardening. :D

I used to take the dog for long walks too but alas, no dog now. :(

Sometimes I like going for walks through our woods but there’s so many dang ticks now. Should really go for regular walks though. But I’ve at least been gardening and outside on our property.

Re those "dirt bag" planters

I have a number of them but they didn't work for me in our hot dry climate. For a while I tried hand watering. Sometimes multiple times a day but I gave up and put them away.

There's a nursery here, tho, that's had a blueberry bush growing in one since 2012. The bag is huge and blueberry even bigger. Maybe 4' in diameter and 3' from the dirt level up. It's cool because certain times you can go and pick a few blueberries;

It was the inspiration for me putting in a small hedge of blueberries on a berm in my backyard. I'm still waiting for mine to achieve that size but I've got a generous crop of greenies out there now.
