I have one that stands in the water all summer and winter. God knows why. It's a pan and I need to change it to something un pan like.
Two of mine like to jump up perch on the edge of the bowl and drink like that 😂🤣🤦‍♀️

I have a heated bowl in winter and they like it so much I just feel bad switching back to the bucket & nipple system haha they like getting a big drink.

From what I am reading online from several legitimate websites, this isnt over by a longshot. Sure, the "plan- demic" will end people will slowly get back to work, but the food being dumped, wasted, or slaughtered because of "no demand" will cause a bigger food shortage and a huge food insecurity surge.
Dairy is being forced to dump milk.
Beef cattle arent going to market. Or if they are, the beef farmer isny getting anything decent for price because the packers control the market. They make hundreds while the farmers take a loss.
Vegetable crops are being plowed under due to no demand or no one to harvest them.
Meat chicks are being destroyed because the facilities that process them are closed due to sick workers.
Smithfield has closed two processing plants due to sickness.
Its all about CONTROL.
Control the food, control the people.
The government announced it will be buying excess food from the farmers, tho, and distributing it to food banks. Sounds socialistic doesnt it?
Seed is hard to find.
Some states have banned buying seeds or vegetable plants because its "non-essential". Its not essential to grow food for your family? Hmmm.
Next will be a "miracle" vaccine to eradicate this virus. Be wary. Theres more to this vaccine than they will tell you.
Not to mention that the ARAs are working to take away your pets and any and all animal products from you( dairy, eggs, meat, wool, leather, fur).
I may sound crazy to some. Others not. I see whats coming and its not good. But....people will be brainwashed into thinking its ok, for the best. Young people will grow up thinking its always been this way, not realizing how much of thier freedoms were gladly handed over to the government willingly by their parents.
Getting off my soapbox now.

I see what you mean. I think it is control with some of it.
I
I think we need to get rolling back to living like we used to. Only people are not so stupid that it means
throwing masks away and not maintaining the 6 foot rule, washing your hands and not touching your face. . If that can maintained by reasonably intelligent people who want to Protect their own lives, then we should be able to be trusted to keeping that criteria going. And it would take a very stupid person not to protect their own life.

We have all spent 33+ days in quarantine because the powers that be said it's the right thing to do. If you look at the streets on the tv you can see how people are trusting in their President and science experts' guidelines . Media and morning shows can help you hate the President, but life does go on for the 50% or more people that have faith in him .Hopefully I'm not being I hope I'm not being political . . I do not mean to. I am just trying to show how life Is at this time re: Corona Virus. Like how Covid19 has changed our lives and also how it has changed your minds, your thought processes , and changed how you see the world . It changes your attitudes and thinking of the future. It will change a lot in our heads too.

Nahhh, it’s okay!!! I don’t mind long winded!!! I actually found it interesting haha I think that’s sweet you take such good care of them. 😍😍 I’m paranoid to have a heat lamp in my coop though. 😂🙈

I do feel bad for my birds sometimes, like when we got that polar vortex last year, but so far they all seem fine. Other than that, we’ve actually had very mild winters the last few years. Pretty warm and very little snow which is weird. Mine are all standards and seem okay.

Though sometimes they get their wattles or bead/muffs wet in the open bowl but it’s been okay so far. I actually have a heated bowl for them in the winter. Doesn’t heat it much but keeps it from freezing. Their coop is only 4x8 but the new one is double, 8x8 or actually just under. Think it’s like a few inches under 8 on one side but almost.

The ones I was referring to are actually my baby chicks and they are inside atm. Wouldn’t put them out. They are so tiny. 😭

But they will be outside eventually. And these babies are actually Cochin bantams so should be very fluffy 😂🤣🙈 and Brabanters too

With youngsters (4weeks at least) if I put them out I do have a heat lamp in one roosting area so that they can be warmer. It also shows me how much heat they need. I can't help the risk of a heat lamp. But not that it will never happen, heat lamps have never started any fires with me and I do have them plugged into a surge protector. I could add a smoke alarm. I 've been lazy and haven't put it up yet. It seems to be sensitive to dust.

And the there's the pies! Apple and pumpkin or pecan! I made a chocolate pecan pie a couple years ago... it was really good....
Then for Christmas there's the cookies... a couple days before the holiday itself, I like to make a Buche de Noel. And kolachi. Poppyseed kolachi. That stuff is really darned good... I'd like to try it with the walnut filling too, though....

My specials are Buttercream cake, and Jello pies.

We have a few cases here the store shelves are empty on pasta tp clean supplies. It’s crazy
We have empty shelves too, Meat is ???? sometimes there and sometimes not. A run on toilet tissue made a hot commodity. Its crazy, some deaths here. NOW ITS TOURIST SEASON. People from NY, and Florida are heading here. They are not following any suggested rules. I hate this. My Mom 93, my Hb 74 and I am 75. We all have some problems. I would like to live a few more years.

Can't find hand sanitizers anywhere. Target had a sign that you could only buy so many BUT all the shelves there were empty.

Ive Got toilet paper (extra) which don't really need, have a large pkg not opened - bought it b-4 Xmas. My son visits at Xmas and usually goes through most of it.

Dollar Tree - cleaned out, couldn't find any similar products at Wally or Tarzhay, for cleaning hands. But, they had something to wipe down tables etc. I got a couple packets of those. They don't sound user friendly. Label says after use, thoroughly scrub down area, used on

The senior bus transportation dispatcher told me buses all have face masks if needed.

I have found most of our seniors do not get flu shots, some don't even see doctors or dentists. Honestly they pull their own teeth - diagnose themselves and treat with OTC products - not knowing what they really have.

I have major worries about them. But most are older than me and bragging they are still here. :idunnoHow to you argue with that?
I am old and get my shots I was a nurse long enough to see the results when they don,t.

The other thing I've done is have the heat lamp on a broom pole and actually had it outside but shining heat inside the …….. My best. No worries, and easily adjustable.
