Any volunteers to mow, till, plant, weed, clean the cat box, clean parrot cages, or cook meals for me?

🥺 Didn't think so.

How about tending the dogs, chickens, ducks?

Construction?

Laundry?

:idunno

Well....I better get to it then. 😳
I did my part. :D

**whispers**......psst, careful y'all, she's a slave driver

It is amazing how typical "history" classes omit or reshape what is called history in this country to hide the ugliness and the things done to "tame" America.

I think it depends on where you are from (or some of us maybe didn't pay attention! :D :D) .

I was taught all of those things. It wasn't a secret. They taught us all the shady activities. Sure, some of it was twisted, like we were still taught that Columbus discovered America, lol, but it was all taught at least. We were taught about the chicken pox blankets, the crazy unfair trade practices, the raping, killing, and pillaging...all discussed.

I could see how in some parts of the country they would try to hide all of this. That's sad. It's what a country like China does.

'History is written by the winners!' Somebody said that first, and it's true. And being educated means continuing to 'read up' on things, beyond seventh grade!
This year, reading up on past pandemics is a good idea, rather than listening to politicians, especially some politicians...
And back in 'olden times' when I went to grade school and high school, a lot more was taught.
Mary
Exactly.
I never appreciated my nerdy side until I was past high school and realized how much I didn't know.

When I grow up I want to be a professional student.

Everything you learned about the pilgrims was probably a lie 😂 trust me on that. I did a history class in college and about threw up learning about the time of the pilgrims. I have a lot of respect for the Indians that lived in this country.
Back in the day, as I finished up at college, I had three credits to burn - absolutely no requirements other than having to be three credits. I had the entire catalog to choose from ... and it was the hardest choice of my college career! I ended up taking "The North American Indian," taught by a true cultural archaeologist. It was the most fascinating and enlightening class I've ever taken, before or since. If you EVER get the chance to really study about true natives anywhere on the Earth, DO IT. Your perspective will never be the same again. What an education that was!

I have known many Indians who have taught me their history. I live in a town named after Indians actually Pocahontas's father's tribe lived here. Virginia has many towns and counties named after Indians. VA is rich with history, I wish I could visit all the museum's that are here but this virus has put a stop to that.

I make tote bags from chicken feed sacks too. It's fun and they hold a lot of stuff when I shop at Sam's Club or go to Aldis (you have to bring your own grocery bags.)
Of course, after I've crammed the bags full and they weigh as much as a small person, I have to get them up the dozen steps that is my front porch. 🤦‍♀️
Ok I'm in love with that idea! They hold 50 lbs of feed so their strong and I have a ton of steps also

Oh great. Just read a news report the grocery store I shop at have several employees tested positive for coronavirus. I shop there every Sunday except last Sunday I was near a different one so at least there's that but scary
well I hope that you were taking proper precautions and wearing a mask plus washing your hands when you were done.

I go grocery shopping a lot and I have pre-existing conditions. What I do is I make sure that the cart is sanitized, I wear a mask, I do not touch things unless I am going to buy them, I keep my distance from everyone, and I always wash my hands after I'm done shopping and after I've handled the groceries at home.

Well now I’m curious 😂🤣
Curiosity is good! Now follow up on it and learn some really fascinating truths! Most of the Pilgrims were self-righteous stinkers and many of the other passengers and crew aboard the Mayflower were rabble - rough sailors and conscripted crew. It's almost morbidly fascinating ... and pretty cool!
