I still have an older model flip phone. If I "downgrade" any further, my phone will have a curly cord and attach to the kitchen wall ... or maybe a dial face!
Omg! Y'all make me feel so old! My only phone does have a curly cord. Never did see the need to carry a phone around with me, I don't even answer the house phone 90% of the time. Annoyed when the darn thing rings, who the heck is disturbing me at this hour?! No matter the hour of the day lol

I've had so much extra time this spring since mother nature is not cooperating with my planting schedule. Decided to have a little fun with my chicken coop. Not sure whether my girls truly appreciate it, but it makes me smile.

Naw, your not old. Just more responsible with your time. I only get 24 hours a day but ineed about 42. So i waited till the racket from wife sister and inlaws wore me down. The fact they bought and paid for the new phone made it a bit easier to deal with. I still get chewed out because i don't answer it when i am driving or real busy. I just tell'em leave a message and i will call you back. If it real important call 911 or keep ringing and i will finally get mad and answer it.

Okay ... since it's Phone Confession Time ...
My landline is a single phone - attached to the kitchen wall. The handset/receiver is attached to the base with ... gasp ... a stretched out curly cord.
My cell phone, such as it is, is an old style flip phone with NO texting keyboard, just the old-style telephone ABC's on the number buttons. It is currently AWOL somewhere in the mess I call "The Upstairs." You know, that place where everything goes to die when you hurriedly clean up just as company hits the front porch? Yeah, somewhere in there.
The cell phone has been in its' current hiding place for ... zheesh, I am SO embarrassed to admit this ... since the lockdown started, back on Jumanji Day (March 13th.) Finding it simply hasn't been that big a priority. I mean, I'm not going anywhere, so no one needs to hunt for me. I work for the public school system, which is shut down until September, if not beyond, so I don't need it for work. Anyone who really needs to find me can either knock on my door, or use the curly phone.
My kids think it's hysterical. They tell everyone that I've put my phone away in a "Safe Place," and that I am the one it's safest from. The rest of my family just shakes their heads and understands. After all, I'm the one who, after driving aimlessly in ever-widening circles for well over an hour, finally recognized a landmark & instantly knew where I was. I then innocently and excitedly declared, "I know where I am, now! I've been lost here before!"
My family has NEVER let me live that down!

I swear I’m gonna need glasses soon. 😂🤣 I think I’m becoming near sighted 😂🤣🙈

Usually as people age you see them holding the newspaper farther and farther away, and complaining their arms aren't long enough. I have one pair of glasses for the computer and one for driving, but none for reading. In third grade my bestie asked why I was smelling my book! 🤣

That is adorable! I'm impressed. And also jealous, lol!

I can’t see without my glasses. I can read my kindle without them at bedtime other than that I feel blind.

My husband swears he doesn’t need glasses but he puts stuff an inch from his face to read them.
Me too 😂🤣🙈

Well not really but I’ve tried lowering my phone to like my knees or whatever and can barely read it. Has to be like a foot or less from my face. 😂🤣🙈

Even the TV in the other room is too small and hurts my eyes if I try to watch it from the bed. It’s not even that small or far away. 🙈

And some stuff is not clear/in focus if it’s too far away ahah at least reading words. Which is weird cause I can see the trees and animals and stuff perfectly fine even from pretty far away lol but can’t read for shit 😂🤣

Also can barely see the stars lmao

I used to have really good vision like eagle eyes LOL I think it’s from the phone.

Ok, y'all....for those that hatch...where are you getting eggs from? Besides your own birds I mean.

If anyone recalls the "lost" in shipping incubator from a few months ago that I tried to get, well now another store has the one I want but I'm not sure where to get eggs from. Hatcheries are sold out, and my own birds (Aussies and Blue Rocks) can certainly give me hatching eggs but I don't need any more of those. My new chicks won't be laying until well in to fall so I'm stumped how to get any eggs.
Craig's list is bare! Hardly any regular chicks this year either.
Last year there were several local farms that had everything...now it's like a ghost town.
Not a ton of listings in the egg section here either.
You can find them on Ebay. Or some of your fellow BYC ers. I have shipped as far as Alaska. What part of VA are you in and what are you looking for?
