Okay - so give it up, now ... It's time to share your expertise!
How in the world to you get started hatching and buying and raising and selling so many chicks successfully? I'd LOVE to be able to do that, I can hatch like crazy, but not find buyers. I have six big, beautiful 2=month-old Asian Black (black sex links) pullets ready to go ... a READY MADE FLOCK almost at point-of-lay ... and can't get a bite on them. What's the secret of marketing these young ladies? :he
So you have pullets...

You ever hear a car salesman sell a car? I worked behind the phone at a dealership for many years and I got a lot of sales. It is all in the way you talk. Start with the age and all that... Then state how many eggs they CAN lay. Say they lay 5 a week, write 5+. Then talk about the breed a bit and sell them on it. The best qualities about the breed. I use craigslist to sell usually and then the rest is word of mouth from other customers.

The ones that I am selling the most of are my crosses, maybe its because I have cool names for them. Right now I am selling Giant Cochins (Jersey Giant/Cochin). Both of these breeds are mellow and very easy for a starter to buy to get into chickens.

I am very good with descriptions I guess and the way I word things. I think its all of the sales pitches I have learned throughout the years.

Yours are pullets so those are guaranteed to lay eggs... Thats a good pitch in itself.

Have you put all that in your sale what you just said to me in the comment? Like beautiful ready to lay and all of them would make a perfect flock for someone who is just starting out...

President just said churches are essential businesses and are to open up this weekend
I heard about that.
Because humans are sheep (literally if you read the good book) We are made to follow someone and need a shepherd to lead us around and keep us safe. If we follow the wrong one, well you have heard the history of following the wrong leader.
I dunno, I guess much depends on who your faith leader or teacher might be/have been.
I've been taught that God gave me a brain for a reason and expects me to use it.
Have also been taught "..because so and so did it/said it was ok" isn't an excuse that actually works in the end.
Sometimes I think ignorance is bliss, but very rarely.

God is my teacher and leader... I do not follow what any man says because they are not who leads me

We are going to the grocery store so I know that it will be open, they rarely close. I just want to get more vegan goodness and my bunnies say they need more leafy greens. I have never eaten this healthy and I feel tough as a bull right now.

Elephants are vegetarians, look how big and string they are, and how long they live! 😆

Yup, I was about 13 when I asked a question of a "faith leader" and pretty much got told not to worry my pretty little head about such matters and to just let the church do my thinking for me. I remember having an almost visceral response at the time and wondering, if that's how it's supposed to work then why did God bother putting a brain in my head? I've been a pain in somebody's (ahem) ever since, asking questions, wondering why and trying to figure things out in my own way, but there is a promise in the Bible about asking for wisdom from God and getting it. Him I trust. Others, not so much.

Lord help us! Today way the first day of opening in our state, and hubby and I had to go to town. Even though state regulations require a mask in public places, so many were not wearing them! Social distancing? Hah! While putting stuff in my cart, people reaching right over me to get stuff off shelf. Are they confused about six feet being six inches? Do they think opening up lockdown means the virus is gone? I don't understand their mentality or stupidity at all! Hopefully next month, when we'll have to go to town again, things will be better.
