Lord help us! Today way the first day of opening in our state, and hubby and I had to go to town. Even though state regulations require a mask in public places, so many were not wearing them! Social distancing? Hah! While putting stuff in my cart, people reaching right over me to get stuff off shelf. Are they confused about six feet being six inches? Do they think opening up lockdown means the virus is gone? I don't understand their mentality or stupidity at all! Hopefully next month, when we'll have to go to town again, things will be better.
OMG that’s ridiculous!! And even if there were no quarantine rules or virus or anything, I would never reach right over someone to get something!!! What the heck!? So rude!!! Say excuse me or wait... don’t just reach over :th

So you have pullets...

Have you put all that in your sale what you just said to me in the comment? Like beautiful ready to lay and all of them would make a perfect flock for someone who is just starting out...
Yup ... and ... Yup ... and ... Yup! Maybe it's just because no one around here is venturing out, yet. I've never used Craig's List, Guess I should! I'll try again ...

Yes, use Craigslist that is where I do all my sales. Meet somewhere local and public like a TSC or something. My TSC sees me selling chickens all the time. They like when I do because people are always buying from them after they get my chicks. Then if they have discount chicks the lure me in.

That's a GREAT idea, using TSC for the meet-up. That's always been my scary spot - meeting strangers at or near my home. TSC makes sense ... and the manager knows me. Thanks!

EDIT to add ... but I can't go inside during chick days, at least not unattended ... just ask my kids. They're the ones who issued the edict! ... Of course, if I could actually SELL what I buy, they may change their tune. I just have to figure out a way to sneak in there the first time ...

Next time somebody crowds your space, remind them that lifting restrictions does NOT mean that the pandemic is over. It means that the hospitals finally have room for them in the ICU. Then tell them that, if you end up sharing a room, you'll fight them for the remote!

I am super stylish today! 😂🤣😂🙈🙈

Okay - so give it up, now ... It's time to share your expertise!
How in the world to you get started hatching and buying and raising and selling so many chicks successfully? I'd LOVE to be able to do that, I can hatch like crazy, but not find buyers. I have six big, beautiful 2=month-old Asian Black (black sex links) pullets ready to go ... a READY MADE FLOCK almost at point-of-lay ... and can't get a bite on them. What's the secret of marketing these young ladies? :he
Attend swaps once they start, advertise on Craigslist, put posters up in feed stores, hand out business cards, join local poultry clubs and post on Facebook. I also have magnetic signs on my truck. I have been selling chicks almost every day!

Me too. I need the magnetic things and a truck... I have been constant once I have chicks hatched. I had to wait for this batch to hatch. My BCM sold within 5 minutes of being on CL
