Skye will be three this summer ... if I let her live that long! She almost killed my little cockapoo a few days ago. I was right next to her when she grabbed and shook him - apparently because he stepped between her and the spoiled chicken salad in the trash can (she's a raider!) I grabbed for her - and him - and lost my balance, falling on top of her and beating on her shoulders to get her to drop him. No, I didn't hurt her, but at that point, I didn't really care. I would have strangled the moose to save my old man! As it turns out, between me falling on her, beating on her with my fist and both DD and I screaming, I think it finally registered. She has since been overly cautious around him - and kept a respectful distance from both him and the trash can. Let's hope it sticks, this time.Iām glad he found your friend!!! I feel much the same... they seem like AWESOME dogs and I love their devotion to their handler and how theyāll go to the moon and back if you asked them to, etc. but I know that even though I love training and working with dogs, I probably couldnāt handle oneor wouldnāt want to even if I could haha so I wonāt.
And how old is she? Maybe she just needs to work out some of the puppy crazies! Haha
Sheās adorable!!
Iām assuming you probably already know this so sorry for butting in but have you tried more mental stimulation stuff with her? For some dogs thatās more important than physical exercise
Try cold water splashing?Skye will be three this summer ... if I let her live that long! She almost killed my little cockapoo a few days ago. As far as mental stimulation goes, that's the ONLY thing that works for her. We've got to come up with some better tricks before I hang her!

Is it getting harder with them micromanaging everything or watching you all the time or whatever with the tech and stuff? I feel like it was leaning that way when I graduated way back in 2012. Maybe that was just our school. But it felt like they were micromanaging and had ridiculous deadlines and stuff for both teachers and students. Like I remember my cousin would always have homework due at like midnight or whatever, like they didnt get the weekend anymore, and it seemed like with teachers they expect tests and essays and all that stuff graded instantly now? Idk if any of this is true or not but it just kind of seemed like it would be a real pain to reach now. Plus ours started leaning very heavily towards just passing the tests and starting moving when you learned stuff earlier and earlier so very young kids are doing pretty advanced stuff we didnāt learn till a lot later. It all seems kind of ridiculous to me. I donāt know if you are experiencing any of this or not but I was just wondering.Well, thanks. I need to hear that sometimes. With schools closed and plans for the fall leaning towards distance learning (yuck), I've been getting lots of hate. I didn't ask for the pandemic. I didn't want the school to close. I didn't want any of it. I'm just coping, like everyone else.
For your daughter: I don't recommend teaching. The hours are ridiculous, the pay is lousy for the amount of education that's required, and it isn't a very well-respected profession. But it is fun sometimes, the kids are great, and it is rewarding (sometimes)

Hmmm - Beowulf - King's in trouble. Monster (Grendel) takes over. Beowulf comes to the rescue and saves the day, but only until Grendel's Mommy comes for revenge. She's defeated, too and Beowulf is a hero.Wait.... I think maybe Beowulf instead of Macbeth was the one I read in middle or elementary! Haha I remember the movie too. Although I feel like I did read Macbeth at some point too somaybe high school? But they never got as into it as that! Thatās amazing! I would love that haha
Itās always my cute little one so I canāt get mad... sheās too cute

They both sound vaguely familiar.Hmmm - Beowulf - King's in trouble. Monster (Grendel) takes over. Beowulf comes to the rescue and saves the day, but only until Grendel's Mommy comes for revenge. She's defeated, too and Beowulf is a hero.
MacBeth - Monsters (witches) tell MacBeth that he's gonna be king. He hastens the prophesy by killing the rightful king, then goes crazy with the guilt. MacBeth is NOT a hero!
If neither one rings a bell, you have a LOT more reading to do!
