For me, it's never been about making one's self miserable.

Only a handful of times have I tested my capsaicin limitations.

All the rest, and I do mean ALL the rest of the times - I am fully & completely eating and enjoying the "warmth" along the way while eating food.
I think there is documented evidence that hot chili stimulates pleasure receptors in the brain. I think the same for wasabi and horseradish, both of which I love! Different sensations maybe but delicious!

So if requiring wearing a face mask constitutes infringing on one's freedom, isn't it also infringing on personal freedom to require wearing pants? If I don't have to wear a mask, maybe my genitalia can feel the breeze.

I think it is time I stand up for my human rights and FREEDOM!

I suppose I hang out with the wrong crowd.
The ones who eat hot things then complain when they can't feel their noses, lips or chin...start sweating profusely enough to soak the person next to them :sick , get red in the face, their eyes become garden hoses and they dunk their heads into a gallon of milk. Yeah...those.

Personally I like the warmth of a good curry sauce.

Oh, dear goodness, I think that my brain has been scarred.
Wait... are you male or female, if I may ask?
Men have a lot more... "down there," hence my mental scarring.

I was watching the game show 'Common Knowledge' yesterday. They had a question of the best way to alleviate the heat from hot peppers. The choices were beer, water and vodka. The correct answer was vodka. Apparently the higher alcohol contact disperses and nullifies the capsaicin better. Water and beer just makes it worse.
Maybe that is why Mexican food is often paired with tequila.
