Exactly! And true! I usually end up cooking it myself but I love it lol today I had two fried eggs and French toast. I love French toast lol

A big Sunday brunch is the best.

Often I will put some potatoes in the oven while something else is cooking, then keep them handy in the fridge. I like to cut them up, skin and all, and toss them in a skillet with some olive oil and fry them up golden brown and delicious. Especially good with fluffy scrambled eggs for dinner.

And yessss same here!! Well didn’t used to be a huge waffle person but they’ve grown on me. I like pancakes too but only good ones. I’ve gotten picky lol

@FortCluck I've been away from this thread for a while. Did you and your family get to go on vacation, and how are things at your husband's work ? The Princess and I went to Chincoteague for 4 days early in the month. Outdoor/distanced dining was available, people were social distancing/20' at the beach, and folks were masked. All in all a good trip, and apparently we emerged unscathed as it was over 3 weeks ago.

We are going in a few weeks on vacation. His work is still on lockdown no customers in the building. They are still open though.

I think many of the restaurants where we are going are take out only so we will have to pick up food and bring it back. No big deal to us. I’d rather stay away from crowds and buildings with people.

That sounds like a dream to me! I've wanted to go there ever since reading Misty of Chincoteague when I was little. I loved Marguerite Henry's books so much.

Of all the places we have been lucky enough to have visited, this is my favorite. It's not fancy - it's real, and I think the spirit of Assateague possessed me during a thunderstorm. It's my birthday present to myself each year. It's changed over the years - ponies are now fenced away from the beach and visitors because of the stupidity of mankind, but I love that place.
