I have some fun news to share from our local rock station.... KEGL 97.1

Somewhere in DFW we have a Teenager with some seriously L-O-N-G legs! She has shattered two Guinness World Records with those legs.
She is ~16 y/o
6' 10" tall
49+" long legs which is = 60+% of her height

And it's likely she's still growing....

My sister and her kid live up in Cheeseland (WI) and she posted this today with great relief;

The TL;DR is WI tried to make a stay at home law which was struck down. So the governor used their governor powers to put in a 6 week stay at home mandate, as granted to them by law because the legislature has officially declared a state of emergency. Then when that expired the governor made a new mandate, and then when that expired they made another.

The legislature was like "Noo! That's an abuse of power" and took it to court but the court was like "Guys. Nothing says the governor can't have multiple mandates in an ongoing emergency.".
And they were all angry and so the court said "You guys DO know that if you don't think there's an emergency you can just simple majority vote to remove the state of emergency, right? You have the majority in the legislature. Just do that if you really think it's not an emergency. Until then the governor gets their emergency powers. Because YOU GUYS are still saying it's an emergency."

So basically the anti-mask legislature can't remove the mask order without owning that choice directly themselves. And I think that's just great.

Unlike what happened recently in Michigan, and then the state health department instated the same rules that the legislature said that the gov. couldn't mandate.

FYI on PFMs, some of us need them for utility reasons in order to work on contests and projects. I don't know about anyone else, but with a growing kiddo there is never an extra $60 burning a hole in my pocket!

Yeah, I don't ever have an extra $60 chillin either. If I did it'd probably go to buy more chickens! XD And I don't/haven't expressed a desire to host any contests so I'm just real confused. But it's nice someone did it. I'm confused, but still grateful someone was thinking of me.

Here in Aussie people have been locked down for months whilst other cities/towns can walk free but with masks or faceshields.

In the Netherlands most people don’t wear masks. Because our Fauci claims there is not enough proof it will help. He looks wise but is stupid . Every other specialist on this virus says it does help. Somewhere between 0 and 60% according to all the research. Why he chooses to believe the 0%? Autism?

Its clear we do worse here then other countries were they do wear masks. Our health care system is getting into trouble again in this second wave. So much Covid positives, so much people in hospital again, and the ICUs are getting overloaded again. Medics and sick people groan because they don’t want to cancel planned health care and operations again.

I'd like to point out that all the autistic people I know wear masks and know masks help. :T Even with sensory issues around clothing they wear masks in public because they want to be decent people.

Autism =/= willful ignorance or purposely stupid.
