SUPER easy! Just get pumpkins -- I ended up with a ton of them. DON'T pierce the skin! Glue on dried moss. Hot glue or tacky glue both work fine. Then embed and glue succulent cuttings, small sticks, dried leaves, etc. When you get closer to an event you can glue in rose buds. The roses won't last long but everything else will if you give them an occasional misting.
Your succulent cuttings may even root, meaning you can put them in some cactus mix and let them grow out. And if they haven't yet by the time to disassemble, you can still stick them in cactus mix and they'll likely root in time.

I totally believe it’s real and a threat to all of us that was my point of my post.
We are! We're planning a small gathering for halloween, outdoor, spooky stories by a fire, behind masks. Single serving snacks to be eaten at least 10' apart, all that stuff. We picked up gloves today from our local asian market to keep our hands clean during food prep for pals. Probably our last gathering for the year, sadly.
D&D continues. Our part killed the giant dinosaur-lich-god that lived in the swamp and have moved on the a beholders lair. It's gotten goofy. There was a room filled with ghosts making bad poker puns and we played a game with them to force them to pass on the the afterlife.
Chickens exist. We sold a few pullets to a local lady. They are all laying blue/green so far in this batch, and that's good because it means my rooster isn't useless. I have over 20 chicks growing up right now.
I have too many. My coop is built for many fewer hens than that. It's at capacity right now. So we'll be selling more later.D and I are playing the new ARK event in my dinosaur video game. It's Halloween and there's skeleton dinosaurs to fight and witch hat skins to craft.
G and I are excited for a few new anime seasons coming out over the winter, and we have our eyes on a game called Bugsnax we wanna play together. It's about an island filled with cartoon bugs that are also food, and when you eat them your body transforms and gets new powers.
So lots going on, for sure.

I haven't posted here for awhile...a long while. DH and I are in month8 of our self imposed isolation.
I have to admit, it hasn't been as bad as I thought it would be.
Groceries? Amazon Prime and Walmart.com for non perishables that are delivered to the house and left at the gate which is still locked. Boxes are open in the shop and left to 'air' out for 12 hours before put away. Perishables are purchased at HyVee isles on line and one of us picks them up. A masked employee loads them in the car for us. If you have a HyVee in your area I urge you to try this service. I thought I would not get used to not being able to pick my meat and dairy out for myself but quickly discovered that I do not miss shopping in person at all. No drippy nosed kiddos, no adults hacking out a lung. We purchase a month's supply of perishables and pick up chicken and dog food during the outing. I call the local MFA and they have my order on the dock for me or DH on our way through. They load it, I hand them a check, easy peasy.
We live rural. mostly everyone stays to themselves. Over the weekend we loaded boxes of apples and pie pumpkins from our orchard and garden and delivered them to our neighbors. We left them by mailboxes for them to pick up. One family left us a big box of home canned veggies. Kindness abounds.
Our doctor's appointments with the exception of DH's dermatology appointments are done over the telephone. If we HAVE to go anywhere, we are masked. Otherwise it's emergency care only.
Do I like living this way? I don't mind the concessions made for shopping. I do miss going to the local Salvation Army or Cornerstone in order to shop for jeans to wear around the farm and other treasures but Amazon has proven to be a very fertile growing ground as far as shopping is concerned.
Neither DH or I are bored. We have our 29 acre park/farm to play on. Projects abound to keep us busy and as the doctor told the little boy who swallowed the nickel. This too shall pass.
Our area right now is experiencing a surge and registered it's first covid death last week. It's not over yet but we have our second wind and I'm proud of the way we have adapted to the crisis.
My biggest hurdle has been dealing with members of our local HAM club who seem to throw sour grapes at me when I tell people to stay safe, mask up, stay at home if you can and maintain social distancing if you can't
People are either going to listen your you or not listen. Nothing you can do.
To everyone who has lost loved ones, my deepest condolences. I grieve with you. To those of you who have been sick. Please feel better. Prayers sent. To everyone else. Please stay healthy and safe.
