Do you agree with these facts then? You know cause you gave me the definition of fact. Pure genius. 🤣🤣🤣

Have you read the actual study, or just someone else's opinion of it? I have.

" Observational evidence suggests that mask wearing mitigates transmission of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). It is uncertain if this observed association arises through protection of uninfected wearers (protective effect), via reduced transmission from infected mask wearers (source control), or both."

The thing is I can post scientific studies that support what I believe all night long and so could you. There’s a huge divide even among doctors and scientists.

I have read the study but that link was just the opinion. The point was that was a scientific study that resulted in facts. Do you understand?

I have to go exercise now to keep myself healthy so I’m not a burden on everyone else. Don’t forget to tag or quote me because I’m not watching this mess of a thread. 🤣🤣
Stay safe!😷

"We designed the study to detect a reduction in infection rate from 2% to 1%. Although no statistically significant difference in SARS-CoV-2 incidence was observed, the 95% CIs are compatible with a possible 46% reduction to 23% increase in infection among mask wearers. These findings do offer evidence about the degree of protection mask wearers can anticipate in a setting where others are not wearing masks and where other public health measures, including social distancing, are in effect. The findings, however, should not be used to conclude that a recommendation for everyone to wear masks in the community would not be effective in reducing SARS-CoV-2 infections, because the trial did not test the role of masks in source control of SARS-CoV-2 infection. "-From the study...so if you read it, did you UNDERSTAND it? Apparently not. Otherwise you might have tried to use a study that actually proved your point. Except, perhaps, this was the closest thing you could find, because your view is incorrect? :idunno

I will always follow the path of science, given the option. ;) I'm 100% ok with being known as someone who follows science and facts.
This made me laugh! You should hang out with my chemist, microbiologist, and nerdy friends. Science is factual but what your relying on is your opinion of your interpretation of science. Scientific studies on masks working is subjective to the control group. Since numbers went up since the mask mandate- it shows they don’t work. What works is distance and good hygiene. Masks give a false sense of security and most people use them incorrectly. For one it needs to be fitted, your eyes need to be covered as well With safety glasses. You need to avoid touching your mask at all times!!! Once you touch it - it is contaminated. And it should be changed hourly! Osha 101 and brace yourself masks do not work for viruses! Scientific evidence and it is printed on the box.

Do you wear a mask? Did you get Covid? Those are the facts. I don’t wish anyone to get sick but you did while following the guidelines and blame it on others. Getting everyone to follow your idea of safety precautions will never happen nationwide. You’re living in fantasy land too.

I have never argued that masks were the be-all and end-all to curb infection. I am simply stating that masks are just one part of several different precautions that should be adhered to.
