This is a quote from the wife of the Miami Beach Doctor who died.

"He was a very healthy 56 year old, loved by everyone in the community delivered hundreds of healthy babies and worked tireless through the pandemic," Neckelman added. "He was a pro vaccine advocate that is why he got it himself. I believe that people should be aware that side effects can happened [sic], that it is not good for everyone and in this case destroyed a beautiful life, a perfect family, and has affected so many people in the community. Do not let his death be in vain please save more lives by making this information news."

Note that both the Moderna and Pfizer emergency approved vaccines have had this problem emerge.

hello, loraine from England here ,I got my first doze of the covid vacc yesterday ,oxford astrazeneca, .bad nights sleep but I,m like that anyway due to arthritis nothing else but a headache, taken a couple of paracetomol .there was no pain when the needle went in ,didn,t really feel it .the vaccine programme is really rolling here now ,hopefully we can get this lockdown reduced soon,i can,t go get my chickens until it does . wearing masks here is mandatory unless you have proof you can,t for health reasons, although some of the shops are not practicing social distancing as well as last year ! I get most of my food shopping ordered on line now but i miss regular shopping trips .stay safe and have a nice day !

Hi, loraine! I'm another Lorraine from Los Angeles. ...but I've always been Rainey from some time before I remember anything.

Welcome and glad to hear that you've gotten vaccinated. Can't remember if the AstraZeneca requires a second shot or not.

Are you getting a sense that things are calming down there as folks get vaccinated?

<Making scales weighing motion with hands> 56 deaths ..... 450,000 deaths .... Hmmm .....

I prefer the odds with the vaccine. :thumbsup
Right as a helathcare worker I understand that, but this info should certainly be known because it may not be worth the risk to say a healthy 25 year old. They may choose other options rather than the vaccine.

I think you'll be the first here to be fully vaccinated, sourland. Given the impact of the virus in NY and NJ that seems right.

So glad you guys made it through! Hope you will enjoy the time when you're able to make contact with your larger family! I wonder if they'll advise you when that might exactly be...

I left this thread when things started going downhill. There is someone else who should have had the second shot by now - my 'old man' brain just can't remember who. Many others left - hopefully they will return. I'm curious about possible reaction to the second shot.
