friend had first shot--immediately paralyzed! still in Westchester Medical Center since last week! I WAS on the fence--but now I definitely will wait and see. she was working and in good health---no underlying issues
Amazing how something like that would happen with a vaccine for a virus that is supposedly only a year old and the vaccine was rushed through straight to human clinical guinea pigs...

DH and I got the Moderna vaccine Thursday. Barely felt the actual shot. But that night his arm hurt and it was the side he sleeps on (don't do that, lol!) so he didn't get much sleep. Friday he had chills, fever and nausea. That afternoon my arm got sore too and by evening I was achy all over. We both napped off and on all day Saturday and got to feeling pretty much normal by Saturday afternoon. We think I had a milder reaction to the shot since I'd had a pretty serious bout of Covid back in January and his was milder. Looking forward to our second dose in April and planning on going back to church for the first time (me) around the end of April. He's been attending for several months.

actuacly, a friend of my cousins mom died of corona. she had no health problems no ashma, and that what made it very hard, i didnt know the friend of the mom, but dang isnt that just sad?
Yes it is sad. Every life lost to this virus is a tragedy, especially when so many could have been prevented. Mask up. Wash hands. Keep your distance. Contain your cough. And get vaccinated!

My SIL and BIL mocked my DH and me today, saying we are willing to be "guinea pigs" for the vaccine. That's just silly and ignorant. The vaccine was tested on tens of thousands of people before it was approved for general use. THOSE brave people were the "guinea pigs!" And we should regard them as heroes. The vaccines are safe and over 90% effective. They will stop the spread, save lives and get us back to normal! Just Do It!
