Out of curiosity, I googled on "can covid cause Bell's Palsy" and found a few research studies that show findings that it can, in some cases. I also found studies that showed the vaccine was also associated with Bell's Palsy.

So, it's basically a damned if you do, damned if you don't sort of thing. Everything has risks.

Google search result, for example:

Can COVID-19 cause Bell's palsy?

There have been rare case reports of Bell's palsy that accompany COVID-19 infection. The connection still remains unclear, but since Bell’s palsy is thought to be caused by viral infections, it may be possible it could be caused by the coronavirus, the virus that causes COVID-19. More study is needed.

Today was our son's 56th birthday. He hasn't gotten the vaccine yet, and our one grand daughter is somewhat immunocompromised so we celebrated from afar. He's working from home and hasn't trimmed his beard or had a haircut in over a year. He truly looks like a mountain man. I'm actually a bit jealous of his hair.

Thank you for this, Sour, it gave me joy. Blessings to your son on his birthday, to his family and especially to your precious grandchild. 😊

Those kinds of very rare side affects are like I said very rare. The chance of getting covid and/or dying from covid without the vaccine is not rare at all, in fact very common. There will always be those very few rare cases no matter what the drug is. Read the side affects of any drug you are taking and then read the rarer side affects. You probably seen the commercials. Most if the time the side affects sound worse then the illness/disease the med is suppose to help. But the important point is that they are so rare its safer to take the drug then to not treat the illness/disease
