So I am curious, have any of you been avoiding health care because of Covid? Are you up to date with your preventative screenings?

Women:
  • Colorectal cancer screening
  • Mammogram
  • Pap smear
  • Cholesterol screening
  • Blood pressure
  • Bone density scan

Men
  • Colorectal cancer screening
  • Prostate cancer screening
  • Cholesterol screening
  • Blood pressure
  • Bone density scan
I have not been avoiding the healthcare system-I am up to date on all my screenings and had surgery during the surge this spring--can't let something else get me and bury me 6 ft down.

and as far as vaccinations--to each their own. I just hope my little one can get her vaccination before she potentially ends up seriously ill as she has underlying conditions

No, that hasn't happened to the doctors or any other authorities that have presented an alternative viewpoint about masking, getting booster shots, etc. If it has and I'm not aware of it, please present examples and cite your sources. Thank you.
CBS News Not a stellar review of an MD and Phd in health policy from Harvard.

Oh good. I finally bit the bullet and went for all of my tests & procedures.

I hope so too. How old is she?

Avoiding healthcare... no, not personally, but I get very anxious about my son. He's had an ongoing sinus infection and has a recheck tomorrow. Since he's sick we have to wait out back with the suspected Covid cases, and use that entrance. Trying to get a 3 year old to not touch anything and not to touch his face while we're there is all but impossible, but trying to take every precaution.

That would make me anxious too. :hugs

Any news on when they will approve the vaccine for the 11 & under group?
Not that I have heard. I believe I heard on our local news that Pfizer was sending off their trial stuff to the FDA for emergency approval but that was the last I heard of it and it was about a week ago.
