H5N6

It is too early to tell if it will be really significant but 9 people have died out of the 29 known human cases. And it has become widespread in migratory birds across Asia which ups the chances of crossover to domestic birds.
Sigh. You know, they never determined, that I've heard, what was killing our songbirds earlier this year. Hadn't heard of this, looked it up. So far, it appears to only be affecting those in close contact w/affected birds, not human to human. It is an A virus, which means the flu shot should provide some protection. If not prevent it then atleast limit its severity. Unfortunately, only abt 2% of China's pop gets vax'd. 😕

But what are we to do when they send us a man made genetically modified virus that has been modified to target humans? This has gone beyond GMO, has transcended way beyond GMO.
Or not

And the usa is still giving the wuhan lab money. I just don’t understand.

Of the two latest friends with Covid, one is out and in rehab for a stroke suffered during her illness - the other is still in the hospital sedated and on oxygen for over 4 weeks.
I'm sorry Sour, that has to be really hard for you. Numbers on a chart are one thing, personal connection another.

So sorry this hit them so hard, Sour. Praying for their full recovery. :hugs to them.

It becomes more of a reality when it hits close to home. I was aware of the potential of this virus early on. 2 deaths in the Princess's family, numerous family members and friends - some got lucky, some are long haulers - confirmed my early fears. It's a corovirus with all the attendant ramifications.

Someone on this thread mentioned they were long haulers and all their symptoms went away when they got vaccinated or the booster. Can’t remember which.

Look in the transaction histories and the subawar

and

https://www.usaspending.gov/award/ASST_NON_R01AI110964_7529

Look in the transaction history and scroll horizontally to see that the money went for
"GENETICALLY ENGINEERED ANTEROGRADE MONOSYNAPTIC VIRAL..."

Look in the sub awards to see where the money went to "WUHAN INSTITUTE OF VIROLOGY CHINESE ACADEMY OF SCIENCES"

Both are listed as open and both still have "total money obligated" that is more than they have received. But neither actually received money in 2021. So

See previous post w/links - the funding was stopped in 2014, reinstated in 2017. And then your link, stating neither received money in 2021.

I am a long hauler, I was vaccinated because my Cardiologist said that for some long haulers their symptoms would resolve themselves after vaccination. After my second shot it seemed that my heart issues had resolved. I was taking my meds to slow my heart rate and it was getting dangerously low, so I stopped taking them and I was no longer having the tachycardia. I thought, wow this is great! But it didn't last. after about a month I was back to taking my meds. I still have the tachycardia with abnormal heart beat, taste and smell still messed up. brain fog and exhaustion.
I've heard that they say being vaccinated only helps about 20% of long haulers, I guess I was not part of that.

Dec 8th marks my 1yr anniversary.
