We had to fill out a series of forms, insurance cards, ID. I still don't understand why they want insurance cards when it is a free shot (even if you don't have insurance.)
Maybe insurance is required to pay for it if you have it to take the burden off medicare? The way they make it seem on the news is you just walk in they give you a shot and a lolly and send you on your way. Kinda looks like voting rather ironically.

Something like this is so upsetting. Perhaps once covid restrictions are gone he will change his mind? Covid has a lot of people on edge right now especially people who feel strongly one way or the other. I pray that he didnt mean that and just said it out of frustration.
It IS upsetting but since vaccination isn't needed to fly then (trying to be sensitive in a communication mode that doesn't allow tone) - we don't know that the son in law was giving an ultimatum even if he ended up concluding out loud that never seeing each other would be the result of one side not wanting to be vaccinated and the other side not wanting guests who are not vaccinated.

If some early reports from South Africa are accurate, the new strain may be more contagious but much less virulent. Lets hope so. This would follow the course of many pathogens which begin very deadly but tame themselves to survive long term.
Thats what they're saying on the news. They're specifically saying its still Delta we need to be worried about and not Omicron.

Two sides to every story. Just depends what side you're on. :idunno

I dont think its required here but I believe that they made it so if you travel outside the US you need a negative test within one day of travel. Not sure because things keep changing but this was the last I heard. I think travel is also banned for a few countries right now.
We just looked it up because of trying to see my son's fiance. The latest change was Dec 6 changing arriving international flights to needed a negative test within 1 day of the flight except the countries with bans. This is a change from needing a negative test within 72 hours of flight. Edit to say this sentence is wrong: This is for unvaccinated US citizens only. Non US citizens are required to be fully vaccinated to fly into the US.

Rules for departing flights depend on the destination country.
