Thank you, I was housed but the apartment has a lot of problems such a damp and mould and it was n atrocity when I moved in so I have been in the complaints process trying to get the HA to move us instead of going to court over it.So sorry this happened to you. Were you able to find permanent lodging? I feel for those less than fortunate like yourself because Ive been there. Now I donate once a month to my local pantry because I know what its like to be poor
I know what you’re saying about balancing the risk of harm for the drug vs the harm of the untreated condition but hang on are you saying those drugs treat illnesses that cause organs damage or cause it, because those are two different things. We already know doctors prescribe those drugs off label for viral infections and it works. It’s not rocket science to work out appropriate dosage either. There are a couple of things it means.
A.) From a strictly science perspective, medicines that have been used for worms would need to go through clinical trials to confirm that they can be used to fight infections from viruses. Right now, people using medicines like doxycycline, ivermectin, and hydroxycloroquine to treat viral infections like CoVID-19 are doing so based on limited evidence of the medicines directly stopping the virus.
B.) From a risk perspective, the illnesses for which drugs like hydroxycloroquine, ivermectin, and doxyclyine are prescribed can result in organ damage. In situations like this, the risk of injury from the medicine are considered either less likely or less serious than certain infection with these parasites. Any eyesight damage or organ damage that may come from these medicines is considered less risky than the effects of the parasite infection.
C.) Following B, we have vastly better prescription-only medicines for stopping anti-inflammatory responses here state-side.
They are not exclusively livestock drugs though. My only message of concern is *please don’t use or try treating yourself with livestock drugs.*
I’ve always been of the opinion that it’s arrogant and hypocritical for humans to call any other animal vermin!Everyone eats a peck of dirt in their lives. The bacteria that live in dirt and water usually are not much trouble, it's MOSTLY the ones that come from other humans that give us grief.
I also don't mean to derail the thread too much. I'll shush for the next few moments.![]()
The last time I took steroids I had a completely physical and mental breakdown, but I suppose that’s why you said if it’s safe for him as an individual. I have never felt as completely messed up in every system of my body and suicidal as I did on Prednisone. Injections also made my pain 10 times worse.Honestly, a tapered steroid dose, if it's safe for him as an individual to take, would work a LOT better. He's not taking ivermectin prophylactially (just in case when you aren't sick yet) is he? Because if he was, that would be just downright silly.
Any drug that specifies “for livestock only” is meant to be used for livestock only. Not people. They are not exclusively livestock drugs though.
Better not take aspirin, then.Any drug that specifies “for livestock only” is meant to be used for livestock only. Not people.

Human and animal drugs are produced and assayed under slightly different conditions/parameters.Better not take aspirin, then.
