Hows the vaccine and booster compare? We don't know because from what I understand the CDC isn't doing any statistics on natural immunity from prior infection.
Almost everyone I know that has had the vaccine including us has since contracted covid. DW's boss just got it and he just two months ago was boosted. It's been many months of the covid positive #s being 23% to close to 50% coming from vaxxed, week after week avg positives have been on avg 24% vaxxed.
I would guess, since it’s suggested to get a booster six months after your second shot, that after roughly six months it starts to wane. At least that is what I’ve read and what dr”a and the CDC say.

NYC same thing, saw a vid on a family getting arrested in a restaurant NYC because 5yr old kid didn't have vaccine passport, imagine the trauma for those poor kids.
Saw another one don't remember where they were from, maybe Costa Rica, family on vacation in NYC. DW said they should have looked into it, I say what the #!!!! there isn't anywhere that restrictive besides China and North Korea. Imagine getting into a plane to go NYC and everyone eligible, arrive no biggie, all good, and then they find out can't enter anywhere, because they also had 5yr old kid unvaxxed, where they were from they are not vaccinating children. That's going to be that families worst vacation I'm sure.
Wish someone could have told them to cross the Hudson river and enter NY state and the vaxx passport mandate does not apply, it's only NYC not the state.

Unconstitutional? Not till a court rules so, and then another will say otherwise...
Well, I’m sure it’ll be put to the test.

Guy my hubby works with got stuck in NY for 2 weeks because he had a postive test. Came back and was told he couldnt return to work until their clinic cleared him. Hes now back to work but essentially got a 2 week paid vacay (technically 3 but he had requested a week off so that came out of his PTO)

Free antibody test for giving blood to Red Cross.
I have always wanted to give blood hadn't done it since boot camp '94, bet they get a lot of donations, can't get 'smoked' that day if give blood lol.
Me and DW both gave blood a couple times cause sure we had it, tested no antibodies . We didn't get covid until after we were vaccinated, whole family got it from our always face masked kids in school.
Yep. Blood drives down here (Arkansas Blood Institute) are also doing Covid antibody tests with blood donation

Not an option for me. I got hep c when I worked in the hospital. I was told I could never donate blood again?

I think those numbers can be confusing if you don't also know the percent population vaccinated. If 25% of the population is vaccinated and 50% of the cases are vaccinated that is one thing. But if 95% of the pop is vaccinated the same 50% means that half the cases are in 5% of the population ... the unvaccinated. The "cases per 100,000" vaccinated vs unvaccinated is a LOT different.

Off the cuff example. Population 100K, 1,000 cases
95% vaccinated = 95K people, 50% of the cases = 500 -- 0.53% vaccinated are positive
5% unvaccinated = 5,000 people, 50% of the cases = 500 -- 10% unvaccinated are positive

But no, trust me, there are better ways to spend our time than trying to "kill people".
Yeah there are!!! Thank you for saving those that get ill.

Pregnant godsister has breakthrough Covid.
:(
What is a godsister?

Up here we have a yearly Science fiction and fantasy convention called Keycon. It's been cancelled the past 2 years due to Covid and there's a good possibility it might be cancelled again for a third year in 2022. Color us fan types unimpressed :p

The upside is that they do an online convention that is a lot of fun when we can't be there in person!
