I'm not arguing by far. One just can't rely on them. I got my first vaccination but don't and won't now or after I'm supposedly completely vaccinated. I dont believe it in it and didn't want it but I got it cause my wife pretty much had to for her job eventhough she didn't want it. We're not gonna be one of the ones that's believing they're immune from it. I still wear a mask I don't believe in it but I'm so used to it now it doesn't bother me. I prefer to not be in the drama of people freaking out when they see an unmasked person. I have more important things to take up my time.

I wasnt trying to argue with you so please dont misunderstand me I was merely trying to suggest that the home test accuracy is more than likely user error and not the test itself. Namely this: you could go buy an at home pregnancy test and misread it. But then go to the gyno and test (they use dollar store tests btw) and get a positive because its accurately read by a doctor. Then they would give you a blood test to be 100% certain. I dont believe the situation we are currently at odds against to be any different. Its simply user error. The instructions plainly say the test must lay flat the entire time. It must be closed and you must read after 15 minutes but not after 30. Any one of those instructions not followed will generate a false positive or negative result. It also says if you get a negative result and are still experiencing symptoms to test again in 3 days to insure if you have it that you get a positive result.

Important Information Regarding Employee COVID Testing

Good news! We recently received information from CMS stating the following: “CMS…does not mandate testing of vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals…” During a call with Colorado Hospital Association (CHA), it was confirmed that CMS is not requiring testing of unvaccinated, or for that matter vaccinated, individuals. Because of this statement by CMS and supported by CHA, the hospital will no longer require serial testing of staff. This includes nursing staff and swing bed patients. Beginning today, whether you are vaccinated or not, you will not be required to be tested on a regular basis (daily, weekly, etc.). To clarify, this only applies to hospital employees and not ****** ******, which falls under more strict guidance and mandates.



As a reminder, we will continue to test symptomatic individuals. If you become symptomatic and believe you may have COVID, please contact your supervisor and they will contact Kyle, Paulo, and me and we will determine if it is appropriate for you to be tested. If testing is approved, the lab will be notified and a time for testing will be scheduled. Please know that if a COVID test is “ordered” by your supervisor, they will be apprised of your test results. We encourage testing if you are symptomatic for your well-being and the safety of patients and co-workers.



Also, if an outbreak occurs within our facility walls (5 or more employees positive with COVID within a 14 day period), all bets are off and the testing regimen changes. You will be notified of any such change.

I would have to disagree. I think it’s operator error rather than the test a lot of the time.

Could be. I haven't used one. But even in the hospital the quick test were not considered final, and they were done in the lab.

Just like a pee test is not considered final versus a blood test. An initial test will give a quick result but the more in-depth test takes longer but is more accurate. I got a false positive twice on a urine test: once at home and another at the gyno. She then gave me a blood test to determine the results. False positives happen and so do false negatives and that will happen on any initial test. Still most people accept the results of an initial test. Had I gotten a negative pee test result at the doctor she would not have ordered the blood test done. Initial tests are cheap...lab tests are not

Not sure what you mean. Anyways youd think a hospital would have enough tests. I'm wondering specifically if its for another reason. Id like to think the hospitals know more than I do regarding all this. Certainly more than they'll tell us.

I just heard about that yesterday. Having both the flu AND Corona!!!! That has to suck big time.


It would depend on the cat Stacey! We have one that won't allow himself to be picked up (unless you like to bleed). Gotta be fast to get him into a carrier for the annual vet visit. Been a housecat his entire 10 years too.
