Exactly, but there are so many that are determined to try and set folks right. Why? Why can't they leave others personal likes and the right to do as they believe alone? You can see it from both sides, but nay sayers agsinst this really push it. Gets their dander up pretty good when someone opposes. There's no reason for it other than this is a fun dramatic game. Wish they would just post their personal belief and leave it alone.
My husband and family have also chosen to get the vaccine. Boosters too.
What were they supposed to do back when covid was killing millions? They did pretty dang good for the time they had. Reactions? Even fatal? Of course!! Millions.. Across the globe took it. Of course there were reactions. Everyone's genetics are made up different. Not everyone could handle it..but..the majority did! The Pandemic stopped. The covid still lives on. Not as strong but..It is still killing. Here's the great thing. You can decide to get the vaccine..or not. I don't push it on anyone to get it. Others should stop trying to prove it's wrong for others, especially when it's working for us. Flu.."The Flu" shot has worked for us too. Some folks get a cold and say, great, that flu shot didn't work. What they don't know is that the flu shot given each year is for a flu bug that's killing people across the pond during their flu season. We get the help from that vaccine to keep us from going into the hospital or worse.
Sour, we also get the Moderna.

You say 'the pandemic stopped', but keep in mind ... it stopped right after Biden took office and the number of cycles in the tests was reduced. As somebody noted above, the cycles had always been too high before that generating enormous fall positives. ALSO, it never would have been a 'pandemic' had pandemic not been redefined earlier (I believe it was within 2 years but would have to look that one up.)

I don't come in often either.
I should get the pneumonia and shingles. Haven't yet.
Conspiracy theories..those started a while back, but have gotten to be more so the last 8 years or so. Some of them are scary crazy.
We're so blessed to have what we have. And even more blessed to be able to say yes or no thank you.

Cynthia, a company buys the patent to a cheap drug and then jacks up the price (see EpiPen, but there are others). Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. Merk dumps money into the reelection campaign of Rick Perry. Soon thereafter he signs legislation requiring all girls in Texas get Gardasil. Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. High level drug company employees move into the FDA and get their previous company's drugs approved and then move back to their companies. Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. Companies exist for profit. That's the bottom line. They can increase their profits by exercising influence over government agencies. So, look back many years to when drug companies complained that they could 'NEVER make profit' on vaccines because they know the vaccines will injure and kill people. They must be shielded from liability. A few campaign contributions later, the US Government assumed liability under most circumstances. Then just apply the facts.... A drug cannot be shielded from liability under emergency use authorization if there is an existing medication that works. So, drug companies put out a media blitz against hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. Why? Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. When was the covid emergency declared over? Not when everything was getting back to normal. Only when the vaccine was added to the childhood vaccine schedule. Why? Because only when the vaccine is on the childhood schedule is it the manufacturer shielded from liability. Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today.

Just remember, corporate scientists said asbestos, cigarettes and round up were all safe for humans.

Cynthia, I don't come here very often bc of the ... hype ... but I want you to know you are not alone! I'll be getting my annual flu shot soon and Covid as well now that the new one is available. I've had my shingles and pneumonia as well! Why people think "Big pharma" is a conspiracy aimed at killing people, is just ridiculous. Modern medicine has eradicated so many deadly diseases in the last century, thank God for it! I guess some people still think the earth is a flat cracker sitting on the backs of turtles and the sun is a chariot driven by a god ....

And I do my best to not judge(very hard for me to do, but I try). I also think the govt should take a step back and simply leave people alone. Let them live how THEY want, not how the govt wants

The vax was not tested for long term effects. There simply wasn't the time for that. Now we're we lied to about that? To some extent. Is it a conspiracy? Not by definition, no. All this information is readily available from organizations like the WHO and doctoral papers though not disclosed on national news sources.

The hippocratic oath specifically says "do no harm" and as with any medications given doctors acknowledge that there might be harmful side effects but has deemed that the side effects are worth the risk for the condition they are treating. The intention is to "do no harm". I believe that was the intentions of the doctors in this situation however I do believe as well that doctors won't be recommending the vaccine for much longer based on studies that are now coming out.

I'm happy for the individuals who were brave enough to take the vaccine. Your courage has provided immense data in a very short amount of time for the long term testing of the drug. I however did not prefer to be a test subject. However covid is awful. Perhaps after there is more testing I might be willing to get the jab but as of right now my answer is no. Please continue being brave and be sure to attend your annual doctoral exams so that we may all trust the science.
