We do think more than 2 weeks is better. We once had an ice storm where some locals (we are rural) were w/o water and electric for 10 days. We were only out for 2. We may get an emp guard for our car and...
Good point- I guess when we stock up we don't clean the isle of items- but maybe grab an extra can of soup or peanut butter and each visit we do the same. I do want others to be prepared. And your experiences show a good supply is worth noting. Water, food, shelter, and a good community- friends who care. I did have a bible study group. prayed a lot. And supported one another.
So physical, mental and spiritual needs taken care of

Not being bullied into believing in conspiracy theories are right. 😆
Again..do what you do..post it..leave it. Leave it alone. I don't like continuing in ridiculous conversations. No point. You'll keep doing you, I'll keep doing me.
I hope you don't feel bullied. Love and respect is important.
Glad you made choices that worked for you and your family.
I always respected others in their health choices. I work in the area of health. First responder. I have seen quite a bit. In a small town we get to hear follow up on care. That can be a blessing at times. Good to know one is doing well.

So during covid I took up a hobby- playing the guitar.
I played a simple song - 3 little birds by Bob Marley
Don't worry about a thing everything is gonna be alright.
What new hobby did you aquire?

How cool is that!!!! I have a spinning wheel, but have never learned to use it. Was it hard?
Depends on the person and depends on the wheel. I learned on a double treadle and had a lot of issues until I switched to a single treadle. My issue was slowing down my feet because my hands couldn't keep up. It's definitely a skill and it takes a lot of practice to get consistent yarn

Nah..not really. I love people in general. You know, love thy neighbor kind of love. All is good. Just had to put out there to each his own, don't make fun of each other for their way of thinking. I had one person even put a meme up that was not very nice at all ..to me..a while back. Like I said, share your point, don't push it on others is the best way.
I have a grandson that works Ambulance. Thank you for your service. :)

Correct. We began to store a little more each trip to the store. Always keeping some backup and rotating stock. Not buying 30 packages of tp, which happened in the beginning of wuhan. Find a great sale on meat...buy and can. Bible study and prayer are the best, we just don't have many around us, so we make calls and do Zoom classes online.
Cynthia, a company buys the patent to a cheap drug and then jacks up the price (see EpiPen, but there are others). Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. Merk dumps money into the reelection campaign of Rick Perry. Soon thereafter he signs legislation requiring all girls in Texas get Gardasil. Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. High level drug company employees move into the FDA and get their previous company's drugs approved and then move back to their companies. Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. Companies exist for profit. That's the bottom line. They can increase their profits by exercising influence over government agencies. So, look back many years to when drug companies complained that they could 'NEVER make profit' on vaccines because they know the vaccines will injure and kill people. They must be shielded from liability. A few campaign contributions later, the US Government assumed liability under most circumstances. Then just apply the facts.... A drug cannot be shielded from liability under emergency use authorization if there is an existing medication that works. So, drug companies put out a media blitz against hydroxychloroquine and ivermectin. Why? Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today. When was the covid emergency declared over? Not when everything was getting back to normal. Only when the vaccine was added to the childhood vaccine schedule. Why? Because only when the vaccine is on the childhood schedule is it the manufacturer shielded from liability. Is that a conspiracy theory? No. It's the world of medical science today.

Just remember, corporate scientists said asbestos, cigarettes and round up were all safe for humans.
Very well stated! People could obtain hydroxy/iverm through telemed doctors, who knew it would help. We have it and I took it right away. Along with remaining on Quercetin/EGCG and other herbal items. I did not become upset with people who accepted the jab, but oh my, the people who were upset with me for not accepting it/them. Though the first month we cleaned Everything (store items, mail, etc) Then the medical community stated the virus doesn't live 5+ days, it's 4, then 3 then 1. We began to question and researched and made our decision.

Remember...Noah was a conspiracy theorist...then it rained.

A worthwhile book is The Peanut Allergy Epidemic by Heather Fraser
Foreword by Janet Levatin, M.D. Clinical Instructor in Pediatrics, Harvard Medical School.
I just looked up a very short statement about it. Looks interesting. My husband and I have said for years that we Never knew anyone in school, K-12 or college that had such an allergy. We also in 15 years of school, Never knew anyone with autism. We knew two students (each of us) that were "slow" and needed separate classes on most subjects and nice kids.
We were given our childhood shots/vaccinations But we did not get nearly the plethora that are "supposed" to be given to infants and young children today. The CDC states that we should get another measles (or was it mumps?) shot as the one we received prior to 1967, wasn't that good. At our age, we are not going to get another shot and the one today is not made according to our ethics/Faith. No problem with people who take any and/or all the shots offered, that is their choice But we the people, should be allowed to make our own decisions and Not told we cannot go to Church or the grocery without a shot that has not been proven and lies were told. My 1 cent on it. :)

We'll check out the book, thanks Nym
