Breeding season is among us and I need to deworm my geese before the first egg, so I was wondering is this the correct safe guard that you put in there food for five days. Also I know you have to throw out the eggs after deworming them so do you do it after you deworm them or just those five days. Thank you in advance.

With this, you have to direct dose them - it's the only way to know for sure they're getting the proper dosage. You can't mix it in their feed or water. So, you'd need to get a syringe, calculate the dosage based on an estimate of their weight, and then catch each one to give it to them.

Is there any dewormer that can be given in there food?I’ve had a bad experience with giving them the syringe. (A dead chicken)

Well, they make pellets for cattle, goats, etc, and you mix those in with the grain. Then you just hope they eat enough to get a correct dosage.

But, it's very safe to use a syringe when done properly. You just want to make sure you're angling it down the right side of the bird's throat. That's the bird's right side. That's where the esophagus is. You can even slide the syringe partially into the esophagus before releasing the wormer. Done that way, there is practically zero chance of aspiration.

So should I get someone to help me hold the geese open there mouths and I’ll put the dewormer in there throat?

So for my chickens they are half bantam so they are itty bitty so I imagine the dosage wouldn’t be much.

So @Miss Lydia and I were talking about this and she brought up a good point - if you can mix a proper dosage into a little bit of feed and can make sure that each goose eats ALL the feed, so that they're getting the full dose, you could mix it into food and give it that way. Or if they like bread you could put a dose on a piece of bread and get them to eat it that way, etc.
