Coryza Help!

It's best to hit coryza with both for maximum effect if someone is going to treat their birds. Since birds will be carriers and stress setting off symptoms over and over again, including building antibiotic resistance...I'd cull all of them and disinfect everything.

Birds enaminating a putrid smell is a dead giveaway for coryza. Waste of time and money to get one tested. My time would be spent putting a .22 bullet in their head and digging a very deep hole(s) to bury them.

Never seen one with Coryza, but did see a peahen at the feedstore that looked like this:

The smell was horrific, but I really don't think it wast Coryza since she was the only one out of 20 or more in that cage with an infection, and all other birds on the property were also fine.

I've seen that happen. It's not coryza. It's a bacterial infection caused by a bird scratching its face or head and it had feces on its foot and the feces got scratched into the eye....staph or ecoli. I've seen birds lose their eye because of the scratch or bacteria causing loss of sight.

We are treating our birds today with the Tylan 200 for the coryza, how long before we can consume the eggs. Help please, all advice is appreciated.

A lot of people would tell you that egg withdrawal is 7-10 days for Tylan. But according to the manufacturer, there is none.

I do not have a link, but my most recent bottle stated it specifically. I had always dumped my eggs in the past, per my vet's (who is also my sister) instructions. Last time I went through the full course and THEN read the back. I threw out dozens of eggs. Needless to say, she got an earful. I did a quick google to see if I could back this up and all that I could find was something about the manufacturers applying for a 'no egg withdrawal' license in 2008. I'll see if I still have the bottle.
