cotton patch geese

I don't have frizzles, but I know where some are, from show stock! Gorgeous white cochin show frizzles... (hanging a pocket watch and waving it in front of your eyes... tick tock tick tock... YES, will trade cotton patch goose eggs for frizzle eggs, or chicks for that matter.... yes, will trade... ) LOL

Just out of high school I lived for a short time in Lucerne Valley, off of Tradepost Rd... thirty years ago. It got COLD up there in winter, lemme tell you! And the wind! and the mojave green rattle snakes! There was one week in April though, and it was the most beautiful place on earth with all the wildflowers blooming! There was a spring I knew where it was and I used to go there and watch the wildlife.... It was right by a paved road and no one knew where it was.

"I just purchased the last of Tom's goslings for this year" Sort of suggests Next year doesn't it?

Im not sure. I just got two geese that were said to be cotton patch. From what I have heard and read about, one of them looks like it may be, but the other looks like a pilgram. I'm still happy with the birds and love how they follow me around.

My understanding is that they only lay 7 or so eggs as well. I'll ask Tom and find out. My cotton patch are getting huge. They're living outside now full time and doing really well. They are the nicest geese, never tried to bite yet. They follow me all over the place and prefer my company and also love other people who come over. Great animals and they love weeds.

BTW, an update to my last post. Cotton Patch do lay about 3 clutches of about 7 eggs. My girl's last clutch was 10 eggs, however, so the amount laid does vary. For anyone interested in breeding geese, make sure that you have a tub of water at least 2x4x1 ft for them to breed in or you'll have all duds
