We give our Coturnix clover as a treat most often.
I'm curious about the suet idea. We raise beef cattle and always get fat back from the processor. We use it as suet for the wild birds in Winter, and grind it to make venison hamburger, etc. I could share with the quail. Any comments/advice on that?
they said suet HOLDER..... i don't think that suet would be at all good for your quail .
i give my coturnix apples, greens and broccoli which are all very nutritious . Also occasional mealworms or regular worms as a special protein treat...
Thanks...I had misread the OP.
Jespere - I also give ours lettuce.
