Thank you all so much! I have to get permission because I live in the city and it's required. Then again, maybe I could sneak them in...

I couldn't keep them inside because

a/ my mom won't let me and
b/ I have 2 terriers and they will kill them if they can get to them. They already have killed 3 gerbils.

I am beginning to be enlightened! Thanks for helping out a newbie here!

Oh I love that gladware waterer idea......how does the water come out under the lip of the container? Perfect concept!!!

Great idea on the gladware. Does it ever just leak the hole container?

If not that is the perfect answer to marble in the water and wet babies.

I took a hot nail and put holes in the sides of the bowl all around the inside 'lip'. As long as it is fairly full the water comes out, just like a waterer!
